Colin Kapernick

You forgot a 3rd option. Leave it.
...and take all the fucking commies with you, please. There are a number of goose-stepping commies states that will allow them to be the sad little proletariat they choose to be. Go have at it.

That's what I can't understand. If they think (fill in the blank) is a better place to live because it does (fill in the blank) better than the U.S., why wouldn't they go there to where it's already in place.

We're on page 4 and we still have no list of demands. There is no way to end the bullshit kneeling. We just have to tolerate it, because fuck Americans, right?

Q: Why do you kneel?
A: Because fuck America, that's why.

Still no redress available.

GFY, Dog. .
That you for the acknowledgment that I am in that rarified class of men who have what it takes to do just that.

Before you respond to me by telling me you are ignoring me, though, did I mention that a local middle school is looking for a new hall monitor? You might want to send in your resume'

That's what I can't understand. If they think (fill in the blank) is a better place to live because it does (fill in the blank) better than the U.S., why wouldn't they go there to where it's already in place.
Because their Bolshevik commie state will never succeed when there is a better option. Their communist eutopia cannot tolerate competition. It is the anti-competition.

So, they have to take down the only place that can truly provide an alternative.

...and still no demands from the kneeling nancys.

I stated what it's about. CLAIMS of something.
The OP, though, isn't about whether BLM has a valid beef. It is about Trump's fans turning it into an issue about patriotism. Long leap there, from six guys quietly protesting, to suddenly the country inflamed about respect for the flag and how they should be FORCED to salute. Where did the protest about police brutality go? Completely underwater now, and the protesters being pressured to stop because of an argument that has nothing to do with the initial protest.
just curious do you think all cops are bad? just wondering where you draw your line. what percentage if not all.
So I just put up a post reminding folks of the OP topic and you completely ignored it. So I'm ignoring this.
Yet you responded to him.

I realize rationality isn't everybody's long suit, but if you were actually ignoring him, you wouldn't have responded.

I had a woman on another board who must have announced to me a dozen times that she had me on ignore. I always found it amusing how it never dawned on her how silly that made her look.

I thought ignore meant you didn't address something.

I had one on this board that keep responding to me about something that can only mean he thinks what I say it true. Otherwise, he'd ignore it.
I think I sort of agree, but this is a discussion board, so if I ignore everything I disagree with, where does that leave discussion?

Well, since you don't buy what the protesters were originally protesting about, I can see why you think that. CK did get SOME attention on the issue prior to this huge kerfluffle. Personally, I salute the flag. I don't like to see it set on fire or used as a rug, but I keep reminding myself it is only a piece of fabric and what a protester does to symbolically attack it is only symbolic as well. We are a strong country and we remain free enough to allow people to be angry and act that out in peaceable demonstration. We went through all of this back in the 60's and 70's. Do we really have to go through this all again? There's better stuff to worry about.

I don't buy it because it's not true. Same reason I don't buy into professional wrestling.

When a protestor burns it, they aren't burning symbolism, they're burning what the flag represents. If they hate the country enough to burn what the flag symbolizes, why the fuck don't they leave.
America: Love it or Change It. I guess burning the flag is a way to get (negative) attention for your cause. But of course, no NFL player was burning the flag.

You forgot a 3rd option. Leave it.

Burning the flag or acting like a spoiled little black boy, what's the difference?
If everyone who felt this country needed change had left it, where would we be? Think about it.

I just said it was an option. If they think things are as bad as many of them say, why wouldn't they leave. For those that didn't leave, perhaps they didn't think it was as bad as they said.
What, and abandon their palatial mansions, drawers full of bling and non stop party posse?

They are SO downtrodden.

You missed it entirely. I made a statement about him personally and he kept denying that it happened. If it didn't happen, he had no need to address it, at least beyond the first time. Continuing to address something he claimed wasn't true tells me he had his doubts.

all the RW responses above are a perfect example of their willingness to be led around by an idiot president and be proud to become idiots themselves.

BLM has certainly made it's points known. They are openly discussed all over this country. You can probably even Google stuff, if you want.

Police brutality and racial inequality was the ORIGINAL REASON Kaperinic took a knee in 2016.

Lie, Spin, bitch ... Trump is too damn stupid to be truthful - his idiot drones are too damn stupid to do anything but kiss his ass. Total confusion leading to horseshit rants for the wrong reasons.

Police brutality. And racial inequality. That's what demonstrations during the national anthem are about!

That's what Colin Kaepernick knelt for last year, long before Trump was in office. Kaepernick was never specifically protesting about Trump. Heck, Kaepernick had harsh words for Hillary Clinton, too. His protest was about African-Americans getting shot by police officers, profiled by law enforcement and labeled as dangerous thugs by society. That's a crisis that predates the Trump presidency by decades.

Kaepernick's message was initially distorted, garbled and repurposed by those who specialize in distorting, garbling and repurposing any messages they don't want to hear. The get the hell out of my countrycrowd has always been too dedicated to being part of the problem, dating back to the civil rights movement, to listen to the likes of Kaepernick. But plenty of other athletes and activists understood Kaepernick's cause and rallied to it.

Whiny little bitches!
Kaepernick fucks himself for these awesome guys:

But he and all his Loonie followers try to pretend they're protesting for this guy:

...and we STILL don't know how to end the kneeling. Y'all just want to bitch, and slap Americans in their faces. Nothing will stop the bitching.

So, we should never give you fuckers anything....EVER!!

Worth noting here that most RWnuts don't have a problem with police brutality against people of color.

I want the NFL kneeling pussies to state their demands. I want it from the fucking horse's mouth!!!
Why is everyone and their uncle kneeling right now? Even Stevie Wonder and a congresswoman? It's not about BLM's demands. It's about saying FY to Trump for calling CK and the other 5 NFL players who had been taking a knee sons of bitches and saying they should be fired for their protest. Trump deemed it an attack on patriotism. Until then, it WAS a protest by a few players who felt they could not salute a flag that symbolizes a country that treats them unfairly. Now it's a circus about loving your country blah blah blah blah blah. Not about the police brutality. Clever how that worked, huh?

indeed.

Americans exercising their constitutional right of assembling and conducting peaceful protests doesnt mean jackshit to the so called "patriots" either.

No one takes orders from you, bitch.
Truly no need to be rude. The comment wasn't made to you, because you aren't trolling. So it might be appropriate for you to ignore it, eh?
Are you running for the award as top hypocrite or something.

You tell people to go fuck themselves and then whine about rudeness?

I swear, all you extremist regressive a all seem to follow the same play book.

Since lefties think anything they say is appropriate and should be accepted, they don't consider it rude.

I have a problem when thugs act like thugs then get pissed when police treat them like thugs. If you don't want to be treated like a thug, don't act like one.

I have a problem with police brutality. I don't agree that what you call brutal fits the definition as I have explained.

Interesting how you don't seem to have a problem with police treating white people in a manner you consider brutal. Or is it that you think white people deserve it?

This crap is an endless back & forth, because nobody is identifying the true culprit. Nor has the issue been broken down to its lowest common denominator.

Culprit: The NFL Owners.

Common Denominator: Customer Service.

This is a customer service issue and the NFL owners are siding with their employees over their paying customers, by not enforcing their own rules
already on the books.

They could have ended this last year and didn't do it. Do they fear revolt?
Why should they? Where are the players going to go...Canada? They only
allow 12 Americans on the active roster up there. If you're a player and you
want to be paid, it's the NFL or McDonalds.

The owners wouldn't sign Kaepernik because they didn't want to piss off
their fan base but they still allowed that crap to go on, pissing off their
paying customers.

This First Amendment argument has got to be the lamest argument in the
history of mankind. Once a person accepts a job and income from another
person/corporation, their individual rights just took a hit. They will behave
like the rules and regulations of that person/corporation say they will or
they will be canned for misconduct, meaning they can't even get unemployment.

The NFL has rules as to how the players will act during the National
Anthem. They just refused to enforce them. The fans and the POTUS
are giving them a nudge. The owners worry about those other owners
trying to appear sympathetic to players in hopes of grabbing them in
free agency. That's why they all draft players that have police records
that make Al Capone appear to be a speeder. They aren't drafting them
because they want to, they're doing it so the competition doesn't get
them.

This is an Owner gripe with the paying customers. For the players...their
1st Amendment Rights? No problem...go home after the game...grab your
soap box and head to the park and start preaching. Funny, but they've never
done that before. Probably to tied up with their drug use, beating the little
lady or murdering our fellow man.

An example...If I walk into McDonalds and order 3 burgers and the clerk says
"Do you support the Police Brutality that's killing my people?" I reply, "Fuck
you and where is your Manager." I then get the number of the DM from that
GM, right after I tell him, I'm walking across the street to Burger King.

Then I call the DM, give him my argument and ask for the number of the
Corporate Office. The DM, then fearing for his job, calls the Corporate Office
before I do. They tell the DM..."You get to that location, fire the GM and Fire
the Clerk...today!"

That's how it's done and if the 49er's had done it in advance by simply
enforcing the league's policy...None of this shit would be happening.

They are catering to their employees and their non-paying customers.
The paying customers just need to remind them who is paying the bills.

And that's what they're doing. You won't see this shit happening much
longer, because one thing the owners will never allow is watching
their billion dollar investment go down the tubes.
