What is being claimed is that executives making $20 million or more per year, are harming their employees who make minimum wages, because the employees are the ones generating all of that income, and they deserve a raise.

The minimum wage has been raised 10 times in the last 40 years, during which time, executive compensation has gone up by 1000%. The same minimum wage that allowed a single person to support themselves without food stamps in 1980, won't do the same today.

"Pay equity" doesn't mean that everybody makes the same amount of money. It does mean that when the boss gets a 10% raise, everybody gets a 10% raise. As it stands now, minimum wage buys a lot less today than it did in 1980. Obama changed the rules so that managers making below $45,000 per year, had to receive overtime pay. Trump cancelled that rule.

In fact, Trump has opposed every single thing to help people, and has instead helping corporations and his rich friends who pay $300,000 a year "initiation fees" at his golf clubs. Pay for play at its finest.

The fact is that your specific claim of executives making millions per year harms their employees has not been made until just now when you specified it

The same standard applies however. If a man making millions is harming his minimum wage employees then someone making twice minimum wage is ALSO harming those same employees.

There is ABSOLUTELY zero evidence of harm one way or the other for any of these examples.

It's not hard to prove that being poor is bad for your health. In fact, if you had a modicum of common sense, you'd know that a better diet, access to the best health care treatments.

Then there's the freedom that knowing you have enough income to pay your bills and provide for your family. You don't have to make a decision as to which bills you can pay, and which will have to wait for the next paycheck and hopefully, your utilities won't get cut off before the money comes in.

Republicans constantly tell us how poor families are doing a poor job of raising their children, while praising white, middle class, single income families with one full-time parent and decry the way poor kids are raised. Having both parents working, sometimes more than one job, makes it really hard to spend time with your kids. Having that overtime rule cancelled for "management employees" means that the "fry cook manager" is going to work 60 hour weeks with no overtime, while the President of McDonalds makes $20 million per year.

That's just wrong.

I'm dating it from JFK because until Kennedy, the party seemed to have little interest in the Civil Rights Movement, or the anti-poverty movement. As now, 40% of Americans were living in poverty, except they weren't working and still living in poverty, like now. McDonald's wasn't giving out financial planning documents to its staff which included income from a second job and food stamps, in order for them to survive.

You wish! As the 2018 Mid-Terms showed, the Democratic Party is far from dead, and as the millions of viewers of the Democratic debates show, it's refreshing to have candidates with actual plans and programs, instead of some wall paid for by Mexico schemes.

I'm still waiting for that "better, cheaper, healthcare for all" that Trump promised in his first campaign. While we're waiting for this plan to appear, over 5 million Americans have lost their health care insurance, and insurance prices are rising much faster than under Obama.

Trump asked black voters "What do you have to lose", and while they didn't vote for him, they helped him out by staying home and not voting for Hillary. Now that Trump has fully unfurled his white supremacist nazi flag, black voters know exactly what they have to lose, and they won't stay home again.

And then there's the women. 8 million more female voters than males. Trump lost the white suburban women in 2018 and he's done nothing to get them back.
