I would be really careful in pointing out that climate scientists are lacking when it comes to debunking "global climate change" . In fact around 80% of the members of the IPCC are not climate scientists and if i'm not mistaken the current chaiman Rajendra Kumar Pachauri background is that of a railroad engineer. Further one of the "global climate change" faces was the former Vice President of the United States and his degree is in English from Harvard. As for Dr. Mann he has a degree in Physics , so I would be very careful about tossing around the term climate scientist as these days it does appear that anyone can call themselves a climate scientist as long as they can publish themselves as such.

I may be "slightly" prejudice, but Physics is the highest of all the scientists. It is the study of the physical universe. Someone who masters physics can master any of the other sciences involved with the physical universe.

Wasn't the point, in fact I have a lot of admiration for anyone who applies themselves and earns an advanced degree and Physics is no different. The point was, that anyone who uses the term " climate scientist" and discounts those who do not hold degree's in the study of that field need to be careful when they point fingers. As the term "climate scientist" can be applied all over the specturm as can be seen by Dr. Mann and a a whole host of others , including those that disagree with the MMGW theory. Give you an example Dr. Harrison Schmitt the last man to step foot on the moon on Apollo 17 and while he disagree's with Mann holds an advanced degree from Havard in geology and yet has in the scientific world every bit as much expertise to lend his "opinion" on the subject, "climate scientist" or not. On a personal level , when all this name calling ceases and people begin to realize that being a good steward of the environment does not mean you have to cut your economic legs off to do it and both sides might have something to add, then perhaps we may get beyond all this and come up with some practical solutions that will advance this nation beyond all this.

First of all Plants only absorb CO2 during the process of photosysnthesis (daylight hours only). That CO2 that is building up in the atmoshere is not part of the normal CO2 cycle you described, but comes from the buring of fossel fuels that has trapped the CO2 underground from millions of years ago. I don't beleive it is the sole cause of the warming, but it's not helping.

Yes you are correct. But for the most part the natural cycle of the sun regulate the CO2 cycle. In fact during the growing season CO2 concentration fall because the plants absorb carbon in their leaves. Then when the leaves drop and decay in the winter months the CO2 is released back into the atmosphere.

And I have yet to see anyone die from a case of autumn.

The earth was created in a way where our waste ends up nurturing other parts of life. We breath in oxygen, which is converted to CO2. A natural gas. CO2 is then absorbed by plants which convert it back to oxygen.

It's called the circle of life.

However, we are suddenly supposed to believe that we are exhaling a poison. That by breathing we are polluting the environment. This based on questionable studies that just conveniently are recommending certain political policies that failed to garner any support before the politicians funded said studies.

It's a scam. CO2 isn't a polutant. We aren't destroying the earth by living. If you continue to advocate such ridiculous policies, it will lead to only one logical conclusion: People must be exterminated.

This is hardly a new progressive policy, but it's a very dangerous one. But it's the only logical conclusion for the premise that we pollute by breathing.

There is more real, hard scientific evidence that Atlantis was a real place on Earth and that the Moon may be a hollow, artificial satellite than there is for the proposition that increases in the de minimis trace element CO2 causes any noticeable change in Earth's climate.

The very same people who insist on hard proof that God created the earth will tell you there is life on other planets despite their being no evidence.

Mainstream science is in agreement that global warming is happening and that man made emissions are a large contribution to it. This is a fact and not disputable, especially by politicians or people on this board.

Whether CO2 is a pollutant or not should NOT distract us from preventing companies from polluting the environment with mercury and other known pollutants. (CO2 is the least of our worries when it comes to what power plants pump into the air and leak into the water)
