Boehner Huge failure

A lot of people will suffer for the far right's insistence on protecting perks for the $1 mil a year crowd.

But it's the only way they were going be able to gut services as they have been itching to do for decades.

It's just their ruse. No one could possibly drag America through this just to preserve tax cuts for those earning a million or more a year.

They didn't even PRETEND to negotiate - this is what they wanted all along. And they put all their faith in their ability to lay the blame elsewhere.

Wonder if it will work for them.

The Tea Party is on it's way to becoming a footnote in history books.

An annoying one at that.

Know-Nothing party, byname of American Party, U.S. political party that flourished in the 1850s. The Know-Nothing party was an outgrowth of the strong anti-immigrant and especially anti-Roman Catholic sentiment that started to manifest itself during the 1840s. A rising tide of immigrants, primarily Germans in the Midwest and Irish in the East, seemed to pose a threat to the economic and political security of native-born Protestant Americans. In 1849 the secret Order of the Star-Spangled Banner formed in New York City, and soon after lodges formed in nearly every other major American city. Link from:

Lots of similarites between the callous conservatives and the Know Nothing Party. Bigotry is not restricted to today's callous conservatives.

taxing the rich will only pay the bills for a FEW DAYS or so....a blip in the budget....however it will very much affect small businesses and many will lose their jobs or benefits....and the economy will suffer even more....

WHAT THEN BOman.....?

Eliminating the earned income credit will negatively effect familes and children and have no impact on the deficit or debt; it will place a greater burden on state and local government. There is no evidence that the personal income of the very rich will create jobs.

The myth that making the rich richer will create jobs is a joke.
If you manufacture widgets, you are going to hire enough people to make enough widgets to meet the demand for widgets. Period.

No matter how much money you have in your pocket - you aren't going to hire more people to make widgets until the demand for widgets requires it. Period.

I thought we'd moved beyond this trickle-down tripe.

the myth that taxing the rich is going to solve our problems is the real joke...

BO wouldn't go for incomes of one million or more......he only upped it 150k from 250k to 400k....this is still the range of many small businesses that hire people....and anyway those with the higher incomes are going to use fancy taxmen to evade most of their taxes through loopholes or will just leave the country....

what's REALLY at stake is the many many small business incomes that will be negatively affected since the business income is taxed through the owner......many of these small businesses are the providers of jobs that people need in order to GET their earned income credit in the first place....guess where these laid off people will end up.....? first on unemployment benefits.....then welfare and food stamps....

so explain again how BO's taxing 'the rich' is going to benefit workers or the economy or even the deficit.....???

I just luvs me some Chuck Pierce:

What happened to John Boehner last night, when the feral children put Boehner's balls inside a Christmas pinata and invited themselves to take a whack, couldn't have happened to a nicer fellow. Boehner himself chose to be king of the dipwads. He offered himself up as Speaker knowing full well that, in 2010, the country had elected itself a Congress straight out of the more fantastical chapters of Gulliver’s Travels. He had to have watched what happened thereafter, when the president put a deal on the table in 2011 that made him look like Dwight Eisenhower on a bad day, and Boehner couldn’t sell it to the vandals in his caucus. He had to have watched as a vulnerable Democratic president got re-elected with ease, and brought a more liberal Democratic senatorial majority along with him, largely because the Republican presidential primary field was such a carnival of the politically insane that it even made an useless windsock like Willard Romney look like the wildest hair across Barry Goldwater’s ass. Boehner had to know that there is no deal he could have brought back to his caucus — no bargain, grand or otherwise, that he could sell — because he no longer even is the putative leader of an actual political party.

They need to start paying their fair share!

Obama doesn't care about taxes....He wants republicans to say they are the reason the economy sucks....The problem is they are not the reason. Obama is. You all like to say blame goes on both sides yet in the last four years what has the republicans been able to accomplish with a democrat white house and senate?

The republicans need to send to the senate a bill of tax rate CUTS and huge spending CUTS...one that would actually reduce the deficit AND debt. It of course will never see the light of day on the senate floor but they would have stayed true to their party. NOTHING is going to get done by this congress. So they might as well push for the fucking sky. Make the democrats be the ones to say not to middle class tax cuts.

Obamacare
Stimulus Package
TARP
Repeal of DADT
Lily Ledbetter Act
Financial Reform
Credit Card reform
START Treaty

All passed by Pelosi

Other than protecting tax cuts for billionaires, Boehner has no legislative accomplishments
all democrat agenda bills passed by a democrat majotity in house and senate. The house has passed many bills the last two years that have not seen the light of day in the senate....So you dishonest fuck try using context.

Pelosi still got things done

Boehner has presided over the most impotent House in modern history. Zero legislative accomplishments. Faced with an economic cliff....Boehners House goes home for a six week vacation.

Boehner is an embarassment and has no clue on how to pass legislation

Boehner has passed plenty, it just goes nowhere once it's passed.

It would help if he had a GOP Senate and POTUS. Mkay.
