Wasn't Texas recently ranked worst healthcare in the nation?

Both Cal. and Texas have pretty serious problems, neither state is in the top best states to live in.

Yeah keep the HuffPost link in your favorites, great source for idiots...

...BTW The Texas Medical Center is second to none

Ironically, Huffington Post also points out that the 1st and 3rd best high schools in the world are in Texas.

As for me... I only want to live in CA because that's where Silicon Valley is. I want to work there.

If they moved it, I'd say whatever state it was in then.

Feds rank Texas worst healthcare provider - Houston Chronicle

"Texas scored 31.61 - less than half of top-ranked Minnesota's 67.31 - out of a possible 100 points in the Agency for Health care Research and Quality annual rankings. Rated "weak" or "very weak" in nine of 12 health delivery categories, Texas dropped from 47th place in 2010 to 51st in 2011, behind all other states and Washington, D.C.

"We're not comparing it to some fantasy world, we're comparing it to other states around the nation."

Yup. Dead last.

I have never had a problem getting good health care in Texas. We have had a number of family and friends diagnosed with cancer, all have received great care in the TMC. When you need cancer treatment, MD Anderson is the place you want to be. The WHO rates our Health Care at 37 (the US), yet the number #1 Cancer Treatment facility in the world is MD Anderson, and they have France ranked #1?

Believe what you want, but I assure you, if I have to deal with cancer, I will be at MD Anderson...

Good for you. It doesn't change the fact that Texas is ranked last in the nation in healthcare. They also have the 3rd highest teen birth rate, one of the highest rates of high school drop outs, and are one of the few states to see a sharp rise in infant mortality in the last 5 years.

Oh, and they have the most polluted air in the nation :)

If you don't care for Texas it's okay with me, you can just leave or never show up, we have enough liberals already...

Aren't as many earthquakes or liberals in Texas. Texas +1.

Shit, good point about the earthquake potential. I'll to texass now.

stay inland, their coast has some bad assed hurricanes.

Thanks , very true. I'm just a born and bread "coastie", it's hard to change that for better or worse. With the exceptions of some TDY's, I have pretty much lived no than 3 miles from the coast from New York, Virginia, and Florida.:)

Bullshit. What are you, some kind of tyrant?

And why on earth would I want to choose either of those two places when there is Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana to choose from?

Your point is moot. Pretty soon Texas won't be a state anymore.

We can only hope and pray Texas leaves...and soon.

Drop out rates are due to the mexican population.
