Isaiah 5:8 Woe unto them that join house to house, [that] lay field to field, till [there be] no place, that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth!



Thinking of those who have enslaved themselves for a bit of the worldly goods.


Isaiah 52:3 For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.



The verse I considered when the government was paying property owners $200.00 to fill their wells. I told the guy that asked why I would not want that free money, "you have got to be kidding me, right?" I think it pissed him off as he was serious.
