Batshit Crazy Republicans Part 2 : The REligious Psychosis of Mike Pence

What you are telling the world is that business owners should be forced to do business with people in a way that works contrary to their religious convictions?
Correct. Because fuck their religions, when it comes to public businesses. Start a church. I have no more respect for the magical nonsense of Christianity than I do astrology or Mormonism (which only recently removed the Creed that blacks are subhumans). The only reason these freaks have cover is because they come cloaked in a major religion.

The Muslim demands extra time off to pray all day? Fuck you, you're fired. The zoroastrian employee demands that his colleagues not wear fabric which offends him? Fuck you, you're fired.

Then, you an enemy to liberty because you just cannot stand to allow someone to have fucked-up religious beliefs. You MUST stomp their beliefs in the dirt because you don't like it. Fuck liberty . You want it YOUR way.

Do we have religious freedom or not?

:dunno:

Mike pence is a good man. I’ve seen you Christian haters and leftists try to libel him again and again but it doesn’t work because you don’t actually have good evidence or arguments against him.

He will be president someday
He is a theocrat that wants his favorite magical voodoo turned into laws. The only way Mike pence ever becomes president is if trump is impeached and he is not forced to immediately resign along side him.

Well it’s clear you have no clue what a theocrat is. Nor that you have any idea what impeachment is

How can you respect anyone you lie to yourself about?

This poem has never had more meaning:

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Yes, "slippery slope". I often find the slippery slope argument to be convenient nonsense. When we made birth control legal, people insisted there would be orgies in the street very soon after. And here I sit, naked in the street ...nothing.

Absolutely. You are 100% free to love whatever sky daddy you want to love. But, if you think it's okay to cut off your 4 year old daughter's clitoris because the magical sky daddy says so? Fuck you , go to prison
You are comparing mutilation to refusing to bake a damn cake.

Whose rights are being burdened the most by the clit cutting? Whose rights should surrender?

Whose rights are being burdened more in the gay cake bake?

You are advocating that a person must go out of business for his religious convictions, rather than the gay dude doesn't want to go find somebody else and DEMANDS that it be the guy who would rather go out of business than do something he stupidly and wrongfully believes will send him to hell.

Tell me where I am taking an unjust approach.

Only in the respect that the laws of our country do not and should not pay any deference to any religion, ever. Freedom of religion means being allowed to believe any sense magical nonsense you want to believe. It doesn't mean it gives to a pass to act as you please, when it affects other people.

People used the freedom of religion arguments to discriminate against black people too. And right there were apologists to say, "hey, let them, the blacks can just go somewhere else, and those who don't like their religious views can, too. We can't trample their rights!"

Good thing we didn't listen to the apologists or the religious bigots and go down THEIR slippery slope, eh?

What? That is in no way the slippery slope fallacy (even though many like me reject the labeling of it as fallacy, as it can be proven).

It is about defending the rights of others against tyranny. Even the rights of those with whom we disagree.

You won't defend the religious bigots. You won't defend the rights of gun owners. You don't defend the Klan's right to protest and show their ignorant, toothless asses, because you (we) hate them.

You have no principles.

Christianity is two thousand years old and an offshoot of Judaism. Secular or Religious, the Bible tells you how people act, behave and are. So it has rules. And those rules cause consternation for we as a species do things that are not good for our cultures. Mormons are recent. Muslims are recent in our nation. Like it or not, the world is different in most areas in matters of faith. If Christians lived as prescribed we would be peaceful and help our fellow humanity. That was tried and exterminations were the answer towards them. Yet there are variations of Christians in America today. Most of the peaceful Christians are the most vehement in following the rules and they are villified as haters.

Again, after Jim Crow, black folks actually had no alternative. The southern states were ignoring the civil rights laws.

You are telling me that the post-Jim Crow situation for black folks is the same as a dude who has MANY alternatives, but MUST have his cake baked by the guy he KNOWS will not do it, all so he can run the guy out of business?

Is that your stance?

That is precisely the allegory in it.

It is about defending the rights of others against tyranny.
Which is precisely what I am doing. We simply don't agree on which rights deserve to be defended. You believe people should be allowed to discriminate using a religion as their justification. I do not recognize this right.

the Bible tells you how people act, behave and are. So it has rules.
I don't give a shit. The right to observe them ends where rational, secular rule of law begins. They are free to ban shellfish and convict each other of thought crimes in their own homes just as much as their heart desires. But they have to leave those childish toys at home.

I would say the same for any religion. And any fetishism, like anti vaxx, or pederasty.
