Arizona Birth Control Bill Penalizes Women For Using Contraception

the basic republican argument is, well.................... we've never done it before..... but seriously this time you can totally trust us to do it...

Do what? Use the Federal Government to force the Catholic Church to provide contraception in direct violation of their religion and the First Amendment?

Oh wait, that isn't the Republicans, that's you fascists.

Carry on with the Big Lie.....

when have the republicans ever actually cut anything? thats what it means...... they always campaign on cutting the debt and deficit, but once in power they actually never do it. look at both Bush administrations as well as Reagan. never once did they cut they debt or deficit.

Dunno, don't care.

Right now the question is whether our tinhorn dictator can force the Catholic Church to provide contraception, in direct violation of the 1st Amendment.

Red Herrings are preferable to the Big Lie, but still not meaningful to the discussion.

Actually, you all are the ones who proposed government in the bedroom, when you decided to force schools and insurance companies to pay for birth control.

It's all you, you fascist pigs.

what is the churchs main business dealing? medicine or the dissemination of their religion?

since they already provide birth control, your argument is off. they are also not forcing anyone to use that drug, they are making it readily available to the public.
they also arent providing it for free, they are making it be provided at no extra cost. no co pay or co insurance. thus it is included in the cost of your insurance premium

Yup. The GOP won't stay out of our bedrooms, our bathrooms or our lives. Hypocrites.

The GOP isn't trying to "get in your bedroom" at all.

Where has the GOP advocated the govt provide things you would use in the bedroom such as birth control? They haven't so they are actually staying out of your bedroom silly.

The progressives are the ones who have dragged the government into the bedroom. When they decided the government needs to force people to provide birth control that's what they did.

They did the same thing with the whole gay scene. They are the ones who decided to make homosexual political. Then they piss and moan because "government" is interested in their sex lives. Yes, because they insisted that government needs to be involved in those things, sanction them, and put their seal of approval on homosexuality. Well now, there government sits, at your own behest. You like it there.

if you dont understand the difference between the words "provide" and "take", then you shouldnt be part of this conversation.

the mandate is to "provide" it to women at no extra cost, not force women to "take" the drug

and the GOP make being homosexual political since they dont not want to provide equal rights to homosexual couples. democrats want to provide them with equal rights. survivor-ship benefits, marriage benefits, tax benefits, social security benefits, medical benefits.

why was the GOP against DADT? that is equal treatment of soldiers.
what wont the GOP repeal DOMA? because they dont like gays and think they are an abomination on the planet. they want them treated as second class citizens instead of americans.

a real american would let them marry and have the same rights and benefits as heterosexual couples. a real american wouldnt have help of the repeal of DADT so proud soldiers could serve without having to hide and be ashamed of who they are. the GOP is against all of this.

you need to get your fact straight before you open your mouth.

My facts are straight, they always are. And I am exactly correct. You guys brought the government into the bedroom, not us. Choke on it, pig.

Arizona legislators have advanced an unprecedented bill that would require women who wish to have their contraception covered by their health insurance plans to prove to their employers that they are taking it to treat medical conditions. The bill now moves to the state Senate for a full vote.

Apparently, the conservative agenda to take away a women's right choice now includes birth control.

Arizona Birth Control Bill Penalizes Women For Using Contraception For Non-Medical Reasons

It amazes me that employers don't realize they have a vested interest in their employees not having unplanned pregnancies.

Uh, that would be YOU, shit fer brains.

It is you fascists who are creating MANDATES forcing people to do things against their will, not the GOP. The GOP is trying to REPEAL your unconstitutional mandates.

Get out of our bedrooms, you fucking fascists.

Both.

The Church has been providing hospitals since the 7th century. Yes, I know that Dear Leader wants government to be the only place people can turn for health care - the real reason for this assault on the 1st Amendment.

This is not the first time nor will it be last, when government clashed with church doctrine. We've seen this with the government stand on polygamy in 1800's, the Salem Witch trials, church bans on the use of medical technology, the draft, and gay rights.

so much for separation of church and state.

The government took a stand on polygamy because there were human rights violations taking place in the name of "religion". Not providing free birth control is not a human rights violation.

The GOVERNMENT attempted to exert control over the church which resulted in the salem witch trials..when you have government officials trying people for their religious beliefs there's always trouble.

And WHY the First Amendments exists.
