Yes, this country IS over and there is nothing that can realistically be done to stop that. With that in mind, we need to determine the best way to deal with the endgame; just like a corporation does when it gets bankrupt.

Lastly we could simply reboot the existing nation from an updated version of the original operating system.

My impression is that liberals will discuss the issue, the data and the facts (on any topic) while conservatives merely bash, mock and ridicule liberals for believing (what ever the topic is)

It could be as you say, but it also could be that at some point enough Americans turn away from the socialistic, bloated gov't that will be far more corrupt than what we have now and say enough is enough. Maybe enough of them will realize that their trust in gov't was misplaced and return to the values that started this country in the 1st place. I suspect there will be another great depression to rival or exceed that of the 1930s, and after much suffering and hardship a new beginning will take place. Maybe after a lot of other ideas are tried and failed, we'll eventually get back to what really works.
