One would think that over time...especially with hand held devices that carry the collective knowledge of mankind readily available that people would LEARN.
Man is a myopic monkey who cannot, and will not learn from his mistakes. This old bat is no different. A no doubt, coddled boomer who has played her part in ushering in the cultural and social relativism that her forefathers knew would ultimately destroy her culture. Yet she cheers more on. Haven't been to Germany since the mid-90s. I did not speak the language much more than necessary get around and order food from street vendors, but I saw stuff spray painted on pedestrian underpasses at night that would raise the hair on your neck when walking alone and make you glad you had a loaded weapon under your armpit. Those people have real problems with actual violent Nazis over there, not "Nazis" as posters loosely throw around at Democrats over here. The problem has gotten worse since the fall of the wall. It was a beautiful country with many friendly, honest, hard working people. I wish them luck.

After watching Markel's address, reminded me of the first time I heard of the concept of "Hate Speech". I was amazed. How could this even be a real category legally? What is "it" anyway? It is so subjective it has no business being a legal concept. Since it has become one, it makes me question the west and our legal system. If it can be so deeply manipulated for such a flimsy idea it doesn't bode well for any of us.

It seems as though the repression of certain freedoms is cyclic in Europe. We need to thank God every day that the U.S. is the only country in the world which has a written list of guaranteed freedoms in the 1st ten Amendments to the Constitution aka the Bill of Rights and we should be ever vigilant when they are under attack.
