An extremely controversial (but interesting) documentary

You claim that this age will last forever, which implies that evil will reign forever, but that is not only ridiculous, but demonstrably unbiblical.
Okay, small bites.

I claim this age lasts forever because the Bible does. Christ and the church are for the generations, forever and ever (Eph 3:21). To say otherwise is unbiblical.

Jesus died for the church. Do you think he died for something temporary?

Idolatry is still with us of course. Every time you hear "I pledge allegiance to the flag" or get forced to stand for the national anthem when all you wanted was a ball game --- that's idolatry pure and simple. So is that new iPhone.

The idolatry is on your stupid af part. You are the giant. I am normal size.

Have you heard the story of David v Goliath? Does that mean I can take you down with one blow?

OK this makes no sense whatsoever.

Let's start with "af". What the fuck is an "af"?

It means you are stupid as fuck. The pledge is not idolatry. The Nation Anthem is not idolatry. Nike putting Colin Kaepernick in ads in order to sell shoes to lib kids shoes is idolatry. Wanting the new iPhone is idolatry. You are idolatry af.

Your illiteracy explans why you don't know what the word idolatry means.

>> Idolatry is the worship of an idol or cult image, being a physical image, such as a statue, or a person in place of God.[1][2][3] -- Wiki

Whelp --- a flag is a physical image, and obviously the PofA is a prayer to that image.

It's stated directly right there in the first sentece: "I pledge allegiance TO THE FLAG". Dafuck dood? Is a flag not a physical image? These adherents clearly think it is.

bellamy_salute_2.jpg

Hell, the country it's supposed to represent gets second billing to the idol. It's even got its own fucking blasphemy laws.

So is the forced national anthem shit. Both require mandatory bullshit body postures. You know, like what we think of as "standard" prayer requires kneeling.

Almighty Gun --- there's another one.

Idols are all around us. Learn to English. "Idolatry" is a noun -- you can't use it as a predicate adjective.

Bahahahahaha . You are still STUPID AF, STUPID AF, STUPID AF. You are so stupid af, you did not know what stupid af was. Now, you do. I taught you something you stupid af.

Don't try to explain anything because you are still stupid af.

Why don't you go back to the stupid af country you came from you illegal stupid af mf? You are no American. No true American would say the Pledge or NA is idolatry.

Even a rat is higher than you. You need to bow down :bowdown: to me right now for teaching you this.

So you have no response.

Looks like you're all butthurt (llyab) because you couldn't figure out this shit on your own and had to be told (bycfotsoyoahtbt).

Happy to help but fer fuck's sake WAKE UP, Elmo. Quit whimpering "how high" when The Man says "jump", ya little wimp.

This is off topic, but I just wanted to jump in to what you guys are talking about. When I think of idolatry, I think of anything that one puts before God. So when it comes to the pledge of allegiance, obviously this has to be taken on a case by case basis.

If one puts America and the flag BEFORE God, then yes, it could be called a form of idolatry.

But we can't say that as a general statement, because most Christians (I would hope!) do not put their devotion to America above God. Again, it depends on the individual.

Don't worry about it. Pogo is an ignorant twit, Commie, and troll. I grew up saying the Pledge with the words "one nation under God" from elementary school to high school. Some schools may have changed it to leave out the words "under God" even though "Congress passed a new bill that added the words “under God.” Despite occasional legal challenges from students and secular groups, the text of the Pledge of Allegiance has remained unchanged ever since."

Yeah we don't need a link, covered this many a time here in the past. Francis Bellamy (a socialist btw) created this thing for the purpose of SELLING FLAGS to schools. It was marketing. And now it's a prayer, as you just admitted a mandatory one. You must like the taste of boots since apparently you just do what you're told without a whimper.

Oh and here's a complete list of all the countries in the world that even have such a prayer:
  1. United Snakes
  2. Philippines
End of list. Literally nobody else sets up a prayer to an idol like this, and you'll notice one of those countries is the former colony of the other.

West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette. Look it up. I ain't gonna do ALL your thinking for you just because you're afraid you might strain your snowflakey tender little synapses. :gay:

Maybe they can strap you to a chair and force you to watch and listen to the Pledge of Allegiance and Star Spangled Banner vids. Some are good. Some are hurrible.

Trolling is a very horrible thing!

I was under the Impression that according to scripture, the antichrist follows the fake antichrist and arrives in the guise of a believer.

Okay, small bites.

I claim this age lasts forever because the Bible does. Christ and the church are for the generations, forever and ever (Eph 3:21). To say otherwise is unbiblical.

Jesus died for the church. Do you think he died for something temporary?

First off, nowhere in that verse does it say that this current age we're in will last forever. It is God's glory that will last forever. Read it. It says "to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen." The key point is God's glory, throughout all ages, forever.

Your second comment makes no sense. What do you mean Jesus died for the church? Are you a Calvinist? Jesus died for ALL PEOPLE. (That does not mean that all will be saved, obviously not all people accept the gift, many reject it. But everyone has the opportunity.)

"This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the acknowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time. " - 1 Timothy 2:3-6

Lastly, obviously we're not going to agree if we are on two entirely different pages about what age we are currently in. But since there is disagreement among Christians on the topic of "ages" and how the ages are divided, let us completely set aside that issue for now, and just use common sense.

Please answer these questions:

1. Has Jesus visibly arrived on the clouds on a white horse with power and great glory, with his heavenly armies, in full view of everyone in the world (Rev. 1:7) after the stars have fallen from the sky? Yes or no?

2. Has Jesus sent His angels with a loud trumpet call to gather His people up, before the you-know-what hits the fan on a global scale? Yes or no?

3. Has God poured out His wrath in a real, literal event, in the final battle against evil, killing all the wicked still on the earth and binding satan for 1000 years? Yes or no?

As I said repeatedly on this thread, obviously we are still living in an evil world. The temporary world powers are corrupt, there is injustice, evil, perpetual war, no peace. The bible states that when Jesus returns to defeat evil in the final battle, He will set up His millennial reign on earth. That will be a time of PEACE and goodness, which is obviously not what we have now, we have just the opposite. That peace will exist among all creation, even the animals. ("The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.") Do you see that now? Obviously not.

Granted, not all Christians agree on the topic of the millennial reign of Christ, but one thing that is absolutely undeniable (unless one is completely blind) is that this current age is NOT a time of peace, justice and goodness, evil is still at the helm, temporarily, but not forever. How you can deny these obvious things is beyond me.

If I wanted to, and if I had time, I could list 100 more reasons why your view is false. But I don't want to write a book here, so I hope you will answer the questions above.

I deny the existence of evil. Everything God made, aka existence, is good.

Evil is the absence of good.

I agree with you on that, I know that evil is not something that exists in and of itself. However, we still use that word, to describe actions or powers that do horrible things that are in direct opposition to God's will.

evil is metaphysical without physical properties, the Almighty took care of that. satan is dead.

because the final battle between good and evil has not happened yet.

there will not be a battle, when the last of either perish will be the time for the Final Judgement.

This video below is on the same topic, about Mystery Babylon. Her conclusion is the same as the documentary in the original post, but her take on it and how she explains it is different, and very interesting.

For anyone who has the time and wants to see what she bases her conclusion on, here is part 1 of this 3-part presentation:
