Correct he said that Israel would be removed from the map, which means the same thing. And it was only much later that the ayotollahs realised that they had made a declaration of intent and had to withdraw the statement. Much the same as the other one threatened to unleash Irans nuclear weapons on Israel as soon as they had built them.
