Actor was told to do nude scenes in Hollywood. He did the Christian thing instead.

Actually I do not enjoy the sexual scenes in movies unless in porn, so I believe Hollywood can make better movies without the scenes...

I cannot think of a single, classic, endearing movie of legend that had any nudity in it.

Debbie does Dallas?

If you are writing about classics from the Golden Era then you are correct but in today time nudity and sex sell just like violence...

For a movie to still be talked about, watched and revered from 50-80 years ago, you know it is good. Very few movies of today will be remembered, much less revered as a Classic 80 years from now.

The National Beautification Act of 2008 prohibits me from appearing in any state of undress publicly. A sub section will not allow me to appear in public wearing spandex during daylight hours.

It's a good thing. Trust me.

Nudity is alot like cursing, where as it is just added all due to the lazy or limited in thought minds not using the power of their creativity to get the various emotions of it's viewers satisfied. Just go back to when Hollywood was more interested in family entertainment, and the values of family in which would spend the big bucks for clean and creative things to be created and brought forth to them. Hollywood went rogue, and it became an indoctronation thing instead of a creative industry that appealed to mainstream America. This is how we ended up with the Weinstein's, Epstein's, and other such corrupt individuals over the decades.

Living in denial has been an amazing thing over the last 50 or more years in America.

Only "family entertainment" is creative now?
Asking the wrong one, because in our world there is no other as we search for family entertainment always. Best to keep the filth out and the clean in. Garbage in garbage out they say (remember) ?

There's all sorts of creativity, but where does it lead to when that creativity is bad ? The desensitization of the people has taken quite sometime to achieve, but here we are finally.

Once a fowel word is deemed normal speak, and everything else is upside down, then we begin to defend the indefensible as if it is defendable. Not good.

I'm sorry you are so sensitive that some bad language makes it impossible for you to enjoy a movie. I'm sorry you think that "fowel" is the way to spell that word. :p

Not sensitive, just not so desensitized that we think that everything should have cursing or nudity or it's no longer normal. Gotta be careful if trying to be a good grandparent or parent to the little ones, but some people think that that's even being super dumb today.

That bite from the tree of knowledge is a bad thing, and we see why it was more and more and more these days or rather within our own generation's of today. So we spell words wrong here, did that harm your sensitivity ? :)

Everything does not have to have cursing or nudity. Not every movie does. And I wonder if you rail against violence in television and movies as much as you seem to against cursing and nudity?

There is nothing unusual about preventing children from watching material a caregiver deems inappropriate. :dunno:

Violence, cursing, and nudity in films has reached a fever pitch in Hollywood. Sadly it has infiltrated the minds of those left vulnerable to it all, and has achieved success in the targeted audience of it all. Each year the levels of these things has crossed more and more lines as if there is some sort of race to the bottom going on in America or in Hollywood. Just because Hollywood is trying to commit financial and immoral suicide doesn't mean everyone else wants to do the same as well.

Do you actually think Hollywood is committing financial suicide by having swearing, nudity, and violence in movies?

Harvey Weinstein adamantly disagrees.

In fact, he would write sex scenes for those women he wanted to sleep with who played "hard to get".

I reckon if you can't unzip her blouse yourself, you will pay someone else to do it so you can watch.

But that is Hollywood. They knew about him for years and did nothing to stop him.

Actor was told to do nude scenes in Hollywood. He did the Christian thing instead.

The Christian thing?

Put a baby in a cage?

Deny someone healthcare?

Have an adulterous unprotected affair?

Give money to rich people?

Is this the new Republican Christian or the old conservative Christian?

If "God" hated nudity Adam and Eve would have sprung up fully clothed and wearing overshoes.
Of course he doesn't hate nudity, but let everything be done decently and in order. That is the saying that was written in the Bible right ??

Everything has it's place, it's time, and it's season under the sun. Perverting the word of our Lord is way out of line, and it is an unexceptable practice at any time, but whose keeping score anymore these days right ?? God is keeping score that's who, and that's what's important come the judgement of it all. Man can only pray for his mercy come that terrible day.

Everyone involved got their choice. The studio told him before he signed any contract. He chose not to, even when told that a body double could do the scene, so I guess some other actor was hired. Apparently, Arnett found other work. The script was probably written long before auditions took place, since there can be no auditions until the character is created, so I'm not sure what else the studio might have done for him. He just did not turn out to be the right guy for the job. The people who made Overcomer apparently have ideas similar to his.

Every scene in a movie has got to advance the story. Screenplays have to be very tightly written. For most movies, much more is shot than what actually makes it into the final film, since the running time has to be somewhere around 90-100 minutes, so there is not much time for gratuitous sex.

We as consumers always have choices; lots of them. Just go on HBO or Netflix. These sites classify the movies by genre. Skip over the ones you don't like. There is enough to go around.

Let me know when you have something intelligent to say, so far you just spew your bigotry, hate and ignorance. At least you are a consistent moron.
