Actor was told to do nude scenes in Hollywood. He did the Christian thing instead.

Most nude scenes or sex scenes are irrelevant to the story.

It is odd to believe the public demands these irrelevant nude scenes to be in their movies. I am going to side with radicals on this one. I think there is a conspiracy of some sort.

I am young but now I am old and have never heard anybody say, "It was a good movie because that lady's butt was in it."

Actually I do not enjoy the sexual scenes in movies unless in porn, so I believe Hollywood can make better movies without the scenes...

Sex scenes are irrelevant to the movie in most cases.

I agree but I do have an experience from high school that might prove me wrong.

I skipped school with a friend of mine that was raised Holiness. He bought a brand new rated R movie and watched it at my house. He gave it to me because he was terrified to bring it home.

Was it because he wanted to see the movie or the 45 second nude scene ? I always wondered.

You're talking to the wrong people. I've heard a number of people say they liked a movie because an actor they consider good looking was in it, or got naked in it. It also doesn't have to be the only good thing in a movie to be a draw. :dunno:

That could be true. That might be why they keep putting them in movies.

Nude scene...

It was the Fugitive with Harrison Ford.

I do not remember a nude scene there and thought it was something like Devil Advocate or Basic Instinct...

I wonder just what the "partial nudity" entailed? I also wonder if this actor was as opposed to the violence so common in TV and movies as the nudity he was asked to do? Or maybe more accurately, the nudity which was going to be part of the movie, since he was supposedly told there would be a body double.

Then again, is there really any reason to care about what some nobody actor decided to do decades ago?

The Fugitive was rated PG-13, and did not show any real nudity, and certainly not for 45 seconds.

The sex scenes in movies are stupid. From their positions,it seems as though the guy is always sticking it in her thighs or knee cap.

Nudity is alot like cursing, where as it is just added all due to the lazy or limited in thought minds not using the power of their creativity to get the various emotions of it's viewers satisfied. Just go back to when Hollywood was more interested in family entertainment, and the values of family in which would spend the big bucks for clean and creative things to be created and brought forth to them. Hollywood went rogue, and it became an indoctronation thing instead of a creative industry that appealed to mainstream America. This is how we ended up with the Weinstein's, Epstein's, and other such corrupt individuals over the decades.

Living in denial has been an amazing thing over the last 50 or more years in America.

Wrong.

The public doesn't "demand" any such thing.

There is no "conspiracy."

Only "family entertainment" is creative now?

I cannot think of a single, classic, endearing movie of legend that had any nudity in it.

I suppose that depends on what you consider a "classic, endearing movie of legend." For that matter, so what if those movies don't have nudity in them?
