WTG TSA! Got another Al Qaeder i see.

An 85-year-old Long Island grandmother says she plans to sue the TSA after a humiliating strip search on Tuesday by agents at JFK Airport.

Lenore Zimmerman, who lives in Long Beach, says she was on her way to a 1 p.m. flight to Fort Lauderdale when security whisked her to a private room and took off her clothes.

“I walk with a walker — I really look like a terrorist,” she said sarcastically. “I’m tiny. I weigh 110 pounds, 107 without clothes, and I was strip-searched.”

TSA spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein said a review of closed circuit TV footage from the airport shows “proper procedures were followed.”

But Zimmerman, whose hunched back puts her at 4-foot-11, said her ordeal began after her son, Bruce, drove her to the JetBlue terminal for the Florida flight. She lives in warm Coconut Creek during the winter.

She checked her bags, waited for a wheelchair and parted ways with her doting son — her only immediate relative.

When Zimmerman reached a security checkpoint, she asked if she could forgo the advanced image technology screening equipment, fearing it might interfere with her defibrillator.

She said she normally gets patted down. But this time, she says that two female agents escorted her to a private room and began to remove her clothes.

“I was outraged,” said Zimmerman, a retired receptionist.

As she tried to lift a lightweight walker off her lap, she says, the metal bars banged against her leg and blood trickled from a gash.

“My sock was soaked with blood,” she said. “I was bleeding like a pig.”

She says the TSA agents showed no sympathy, instead pulling down her pants and asking her to raise her arms.

DRUDGE REPORT 2012®

From your first link:
Bruce Zimmerman, 53, said he can’t understand why the agents targeted his mom.

“She looks like a sweet, little old lady,” he said. “She’s not a disruptive person or uncooperative.”

Let's be real for a minute though. The TSA doesn't exist to fight the "War on Terror", it exists to fight the War on Drugs but no one in the Federal Government will ever admit that because the War on Drugs is such an abject failure and in this case violates the Constitution.

This is the result of enabling cop wannabes with gestapo powers and almost all the benefits of a postal worker. There is very little accountability for these scumbags.

Pisses me off. And it should piss off more Americans but unfortunately they just don't care. Too busy with their stupid reality tv,sports, and porn to give a shit.

And then there are the cowardly jackasses who say 'Oh, I'd be happy to submit in order to know that my flight is safe.' Idiots. They don't make the ones who fit the terrorist profile submit to this shit. Just little grannies like her and me! Because we don't dare fight back!

Look out Al Qaeda & Taliban! You got competition now!

TSA exists because the federal government decided there were just enough of us who maintain the opinion that "oh it's just a little inconvenient. Besides it makes me feel safe".
Lambs to the slaughter.
I have no objection to air travel security.
If I were in charge ,I would fire every single TSA agent absent of professional law enforcement experience. I would also demand every new agent have at least a 2 year degree in the criminal justice area of studies. And those that do not have 6 months to begin taking courses and three years to complete them. I would require continuing education of at least 3 credits of CJ every calendar year plus CE courses in customer service related studies.
Yes this would drive up the wages of the TSA agents. It would also drive down the immense number of incidents.

Yes obviously training is a huge problem. Who are they hiring? And why are they being trained so poorly? I mean this 85yr. old Grandmother a member of Al Qaeda? Man,something's very wrong with the TSA.

Why is the weight important? 110 isn't that extreme in one direction or the other.
