Got to hand it to them on this one. I think he did a good job at putting Obama on the spot, and as usual, Obama sounds like the big dummy he is

Obama on Putin's military mission in Syria

Russia's move into Syria is a sign of weakness, not strength, President Obama tells 60 Minutes

An excerpt from the 60 Minutes interview was broadcast on CBS This Morning. A transcript of that excerpt is below:

Steve Kroft: A year ago when we did this interview, there was some saber-rattling between the United States and Russia on the Ukrainian border. Now it's also going on in Syria. You said a year ago that the United States-- America leads. We're the indispensable nation. Mr. Putin seems to be challenging that leadership.

President Barack Obama: In what way? Let-- let's think about this-- let-- let--

Steve Kroft: Well, he's moved troops into Syria, for one. He's got people on the ground. Two, the Russians are conducting military operations in the Middle East for the first time since World War II.

President Barack Obama: So that's-- so that's --

Steve Kroft: bombing the people-- that we are supporting.

President Barack Obama: So that's leading, Steve? Let me ask you this question. When I came into office-- Ukraine was governed by a corrupt ruler who was a stooge of Mr. Putin.

Steve Kroft: Right, right, right.

Putin is Challenging Your Leadership

He's challenging something but it ain't leadership.

Putin can have it

Let someone else put their asses on the line to fight terrorism. Let someone else fly the missions. Let someone else try to keep the peace as rival factions fight for control

I hope Putin is successful. Let him be the leader

Putin will have to do a better job in Syria then he did in Ukraine. So far his offensive in Syria has gained little if any ground and managed to leave over 20 Runssia tanks and armored vehicles destroyed or captured and at least one helicopter gun ship shot down. Add a dead Iranian General and an offensive battle by ISIS for Aleppo. The rebels that were fighting both Assad and ISIS fled the battlefield when Putin started bombing them. That is what encouraged ISIS to move towards ISIS.

Putin will learn the same lesson Bush did. There is only so much you can accomplish with military force.
You can go in and chase the bad guys into the shadows. Then you can land your fighter jet on a carrier and declare Mission Accomplished

But the hard part is keeping the peace. Putin can prop up Asssad with military forces but he will still have the majority factions looking for an opportunity to attack.

Sure...let Putin be the leader in Syria
Let him find out how rewarding it can be

When Putin actually starts fighting terrorists you'll have a point. Until then all you have is a cowardly leader named Obama

Why is Obama blubbering and stammering? He wanted to bring the USA down, he should just say, "Mission Accomplished! We're no longer a world leader!"

And yes, we're complying. Because Obama.

Hillary Clinton and some Republican candidates keep talking about implementing a No-Fly Zone in Syria. But Putin already has what amounts to a smaller No Fly Zone in place.

The U.S. has stopped flying manned air-support missions for rebels in a key part of northern Syria due to Russia’s expansion of air defense systems there, and the Barack Obama administration is scrambling to figure out what to do about it.

You can do two things...

1. Violate the zone

2. Comply

"Scrambling to figure out what to do about it" means that Obama complied with it.

This crucial part of the battlefield, known inside the military as Box 4, is where a number of groups have been fighting the Islamic State for control, until recently with overhead support from U.S. fighter jets.

But earlier this month, Moscow deployed an SA-17 advanced air defense system near the area and began “painting” U.S. planes, targeting them with radar in what U.S. officials said was a direct and dangerous provocation. The Pentagon halted all manned flights, although U.S. drones are still flying in the area. Russia then began bombing the rebels the U.S. had been supporting. (U.S. manned airstrikes continue elsewhere in Syria.)

According to MSNBC, Obama is beating Putin in Syria. According to reality, Putin imposed a No-Fly Zone on Obama. And Obama mumbled something and backed away.
