There are many lessons to learn from Orwellian theory. In Animal Farm the simplest message to be learned is that overthrowing a bad government, despite the best of intentions, will almost always result in a worse government without there being a clear government structure in place to prevent a new tyranny from emerging.

Despite Democrats' objections to American exceptionalism, America was the first nation to EVER overthrow a bad government but put a government of checks and balances into place to ensure that those who overthrew it could not become the new tyrants.
