Under the Ukraine Constitution, elections are not held during periods of martial law.

Zelensky declared martial law and cancelled the elections. Not the people.

That's not democracy. In a democracy you don't just get to cancel the elections to keep power. That's an authoritarian dictatorship.

I have not kept up on this but did you read the Ukraine Constitution to know it was not a legal move or did you make that up according to your standards ? The reason a election would NOT be canceled in the middle of a war...is to avoid a TOTAL chaos. wHAT IS A COUNTRY WAS IN THE BIGGEST BATTLE OF THE WAR AND WOULD LOOSE MOMENT AND GROUND ?

Say habeas corpus for example ? The President can suspend it but must (with in a time frame [maybe immediately] present to Congress why. They can than vote whether it is legal, or not legal and thier order must be obeyed. (by the president-he can still refuse but is than subject to chares) But than again the president is the commander-in-chief and there would be no one to carry out the order.

It would only be after the on going crisis was resolved...could article of impeachment be filed.

Musk cut Ukrainian access to Starlink when Biden was in office, which prevented drone attacks on the Russian warships. They obviously needed access to Starlink to carry out these drone attacks, so it makes sense that Biden wasn't told either.
