Zelensky Says He Still Wants US Minerals Deal After Explosive Trump Talks. This is a BS lie.

This is guy is up to no good. He's trying to turn the WH incident to spin animosity against trump and embarrass him as much as he can.
Be interesting how many interviews he gets from left wing rags just to keep the spin going

Rumblings the Obama crew jumped in to sabotage Trump.

Why is the rare earth and metals deal important to the US.

The rare earth and metals deal is crucial for the US for several reasons:

  1. National Security: Rare earth elements are essential for various military applications, including missile systems, radar systems, and aircraft engines. Securing a stable supply of these elements is vital for national defense2.
  2. Technological Advancements: Rare earth metals are used in a wide range of consumer electronics, electric vehicles, and renewable energy technologies like wind turbines. Ensuring access to these materials supports technological innovation and development3.
  3. Economic Growth: The deal can help the US recoup some of the financial aid provided to Ukraine during the ongoing conflict. It also opens up opportunities for American companies to invest in and benefit from Ukraine's vast mineral wealth5.
  4. Reducing Dependence on China: Currently, China dominates the global supply of rare earth elements, accounting for about 60% of global mine production and 90% of processed output. Diversifying sources of these critical materials reduces the US's reliance on China and enhances supply chain security6.
  5. Environmental Considerations: While the extraction and processing of rare earth metals can have environmental impacts, developing more environmentally friendly technologies and securing a stable supply can help mitigate these effects.
In summary, the rare earth and metals deal is important for the US to ensure national security, support technological advancements, promote economic growth, reduce dependence on China, and address environmental concerns.

Why do we want their minerals?

Because if we get them from Ukraine, we do not have to get them from China!

The only place in the USA that has any of these minerals.......or so it is reported........is Minnesota, and they do not have a massive amount. And guess what, they refuse to let it be mined for enviro reasons. So this is a win for the USA, Ukraine, and I suppose, Minnesota if the deal goes through.

Trump wants the deal. It's his deal. It's a Trump deal.

Yep. They didn't want to turn the boundary waters into a disastrous pit. Lots of businesses depend on that area for their livelihood.

I did not know the reason except enviro Minn refused. Thanks for the information.

well, i meant in the sense of with Ukraine and the United States
We already have the puzzle. The trick is to solve it:

1). No NATO for Ukraine.

2). No American arms for Ukraine.

3). Security guarantees for Europe – ALL OF IT.

a. extracting Ukrainian resources by American companies thus guaranteeing security by American civilian presence.

b. extracting Russian-acquired Ukrainian resources by American companies thus guaranteeing security by American civilian presence.

Either a. or b. achieves the same goal that includes 1). and 2). and 3). except that Ukraine doesn't exist in the present form. In other words, let Zoolinsky continue provoking Russia and risk forfeiting everything.

*** The details of whether or not to call the non-NATO buffer zone Ukraine (or something else) can be discussed. You can call it Israel for all I care.

And Zelensky is the President of a nation that has been invaded by Russia -- Russia who had repeatedly violated ceasefire deals, including the Minsk agreements, leading up to Russia's 2022 invasion of his country - Ukraine.

Trump wants a deal for himself, so he can have bragging rights. It's his m.o.

His deals in the past were a joke, but with a straight face he'd tell everybody how great they were. Man has no shame.

remember: A peace deal between peoples and nations not at war with each other -- and when he cried "Obama got a Nobel, not me unfair!"????

cuckoo small.webp

The adults in the rooms (excepting many Trump people) usually knowledgeable on geopolitics and more. You? Weird crap online.

Why do we want their minerals?
They are "rare earth" minerals that we currently get from places like China. Development of more sources takes away the ability of any one of the countries that have them from exerting pressure on the countries that need them.

That said. They are called "rare earth" minerals, but it seems those things are fucking everywhere. Africa, China, Afghanistan Ukraine. How "rare" are they actually?

So where will we get the minerals?

Dude, this is your best post yet.......please keep them coming.
Probably some. Ukraine has to sell minerals they have. We are buyers. Trump will try and make it look like a Deal of the Century no matter what deal is eventually agreed upon.
