Zoolinsky could have retained everything but he was greedy. Because of his greed (and very bad bartering skills) he loses a little bit more every day. And I don't think Putin is going to give much of it back - he has to consider loss of Russian lives and military expenditure. Russia might eventually end up with all of Ukraine by default. Oh, well.

Of course he wants the deal, it’s a fantastic deal for Ukraine and gives his country lasting security

Trump's deal does not designate all the rights of minerals to the United States. It just establishes a reconstruction investment fund with joint U.S. and Ukraine ownership, in order to pay back part of what we've given them. The problem is, Zelensky wants a "security guarantee", which would either mean continuing to fund the war or putting US troops on Ukrainian soil.

Democrats believe in open borders and unlimited taxation, but they don't believe in free speech or the rule of law. They also believe the constitution is a living document which means they only adhere to the parts that suit them. Their logic and policies make them dangerous to follow. And of course, the media is still obediently following their every lead, stupid, dangerous, wasteful and unsustainable though they may be. Nobody is surprised that Democrats take Nazi Zalenski's side over their own country and the safety of the world. But at some point, I think most Americans expect Democrats to rejoin their country. Why TF is that taking so long?
