As long as money is allowed to buy politicians, nothing will change. The fault lies with the electorate. The problems never get resolved yet the majority of voters keep embracing incumbency. As long as they do nothing and get rewarded, why would they want to retire…
Not just the Dims all of them.democrats don't have to die in their seats, but we would all appreciate it if they would die...
I suppose their children could take their place, but understand, America is now an aristocracy. At least one Democrat is thinking.

‘You don’t have to die in your seat’: Democrats stress over aging members
At a time of deep polarization and narrow congressional majorities, the party is questioning whether it has the luxury of having so many elderly lawmakers in key offices.www.yahoo.com
"But Democrats have been grappling with a noticeable generational divide within their ranks for some time — President Joe Biden and top Democratic congressional leaders are all well over 70. Ten of the 12 House members over the age of 80 are Democrats."
Ginsberg refused to retire, Breyer is being pushed to make way for a replacement while Democrats hold DC
But BOTH parties need to consider replacements for our elder 'statesmen'.

In fact, Joe Biden made it a point to hire the children of his cronies, just like Hunter made millions from his daddy being President.
In his case, everyone else he hired stabbed him in the back.I suppose their children could take their place, but understand, America is now an aristocracy. At least one Democrat is thinking.

An incumbent's power base grows day by day. Without term limits, that power base becomes a moat, and the playing field is nowhere near being equal. There is truth to your statement, however, once a politician is in office, the advantages of incumbency are hard to overcome. One solution is ranked voting. I am glad it is being tried around the country. When? When people quit electing them. This is not a problem with the politician but with the electorate.
At least one Democrat is thinking.

Well gipper, with all the money we spend on buying politicians you’d think that we’d at least be able to buy a few good ones, how do we end up always buying the bad apples of the bunch? As long as money is allowed to buy politicians, nothing will change. The fault lies with the electorate. So if I were him, I would have had to do the same thing.
No one dare ever turn on democrats, no matter how corrupt they become.
Just look how they handle corrupt politicians like Cuomo. Here is a man who put Covid patients in nursing homes as hundreds of thousands died from it as a result, and then tries to cover it up? Don't even mention the long line of women who say he molested them. All you get is a red faced Biden asking Cuomo to resign, doing it only once and then sweeping it all under the carpet with the help of the media.
I did not say it was right In fact, there if precious little that is right in the US Federal government. In his case, everyone else he hired stabbed him in the back.I suppose their children could take their place, but understand, America is now an aristocracy. At least one Democrat is thinking.

Right, it's OK for your guy but not the other guy. Not doing something you can not do (overturn an election like he thought Pence should do) is not stabbing you in the back.
Well, look at our society, our culture. Folks can tell you who won "Dancing with the Stars" but they don't know the name of either of the last two Vice Presidents. The fault lies with the electorate. The problems never get resolved yet the majority of voters keep embracing incumbency. As long as they do nothing and get rewarded, why would they want to retire…
Yep, maybe we should take the party labels off the ballot and just put price tags next to each candidates name at least that way voters could make some informed buying decisions.Try to fathom the fact that most all people work to scrape by. Yet somehow we elect rich people from both parties believing some how they know what's best for those so incredibly hard working barely making it. It is truly a phenomena. It needs to stop.
