People clearly have their faith chosen for them just as people have their parents and country chosen for them. When they become adults, especially in their mid-20s and beyond; they can change religions or country. Ultimately though, you choose faith and vice versa. It was always going to be right? This is how human beings are wired, and why if most people do not get exposed to a particular belief system, whether it be of faith or atheism, will probably not depart from it.

It is just a question as a parent as which direction is best to point a child.

I think Citygator is a good example of someone without any religious convictions of their own who claims to go to church and even teach Sunday school, but spends all of his time preaching the gospel of the DNC instead of his own alleged faith. He probably does it only because his parents did.

He does not even think the church is that impactful in the world and views it as not any better than any other form of religion.

He just mindlessly continues to pretend to support a doctrine that makes him wince in pain every time his church may preach a sermon in which they condemn something like abortion or the genital mutilation of children in our public schools.

But there are others who actually put some thought into what they actually believe and do.

But at the end of the day, his faith really means nothing to him and only cares about electing democrats to make the world a better place.
