Yes. It’s clear that the Russian military has moved slowly and cautiously. Had they followed US military tactics, all of Ukraine would be rubble. They’ve used their heavy artillery advantage to pummel AFU positions. They control the air too.

They haven’t made many frontal assaults using masses of men. Many experts think Russian casualties are less the 100,000, while AFU casualties exceed 500,000.
