Yeah, Trump did call military personnel "suckers" and "losers"

Point was, War bonds were voluntary... it measured a level of support for the war.

And they garunteed those bonds by taxing the rich appropriately. As opposed to what we started doing after Reagan, where we finance debt with more debt.
You prefer the Government simply take and take and take. I support the people. I recall WW2 when the Feds pleaded with the public to buy war bonds. They made it seem the war would be lost if dad did not pay them.

You didn’t even know where the goal posts are anymore. LOL

I would prefer that government live within its means and that everyone pay their fair share.

The thing about War bonds is that there was an expectation to pay them back.

Between 1787 and 1980, we ran up less than a trillion dollars in debt with all the wars, infrastructure, space programs, and social services because there was an understanding that you try to pay your debt.

Then along came Reagan and his idiotic "Voodoo Economics" of Supply side, and we tripled the debt in 12 years.

Here's the thing.

People want the government to do things.
People don't want to pay taxes to do those things.

Whenever I argue with a Wingnut about government spending, I ask them to give me a list of what we should cut, WITH NUMBERS and they can never come up with any. Why? Because the three biggest ticket items for the budget are Medicare, Social Security, and Defense, and those are all very popular.

Bush later apologized for calling the Reagan economics voodoo economics. Why? Because they were not voodoo economics. And his tripling was a tiny fraction of what Biden has spent.

Buddy, you are the one who wants to argue semantics while missing the point.

Debt was reduced as a percentage of GDP through high taxes... then Reagan fucked it up.

I said National Service, not military service.

You need to actually try to understand concepts being argued than trying to focus on semantics.
It isnt semantics you claimed we paid the debt when we did no such thing.

Here is the graph proving you are correct.

I submit that based on things like polls, you are wrong. Democrats want stuff that they do not want to pay for, but for others to pay their bills.

Voluntary you tell me who was then around when my parents were taxed severely???
You Democrats love to hate the Rich verbally but love their taxes like you owned them.

Try shopping with that same attitude. Imagine a store manager telling you his price is reduced and you tell him yeh, pal, the bill is more. What helped make war bonds easier on the pocket but harder on the public is FDR had us all by the asshole by issuing controls on buying. He forced us to depend on rations. If you wanted Milk and had no tickets, shit out of luck.

They were definitely VooDoo Economics.

They didn't help the economy and the deficit ballooned.

It's why Reagan had to walk it back on the 1986 Tax reform package and Bush had to walk it back further with the 1990 budget deal.

You mean we actually put a priority on winning the war? Heaven forbid!

After being fired (Kelly), an ex-employee loses their credibility regarding their former employer.

Looking at the trashbags who conspired to attack Trump with these SHAM charges, the "charges" are like medals of honor.
Kelley vs Trump?
