What are you ranting about? You can't count or read either? How ******* stupid are you? I said 2! Two. More than one. Less than three. God have mercy on your miserable wretched soul!
Helen was not in the Odyssey. Why would you discuss the Odyssey in a theater arts program?
I never discussed the Odyssey in college, undergrad or grad school, but I did in my American high school. She attended high school in Kenya. I am sure they have different standards. Would you have expected that knowledge of the Chinese students attending my graduate school in Florida?
Having her play Helen was a stupid concept, but you morons better temper your expectations about education in Africa! You are making yourselves out to be undereducated fools!
Person yes, movie no.Alexander fan?
You cannot ******* read. I posted that Karen Bass attended a state university. The other two did not, as you claimed they did. You were ******* wrong and refuse to admit your error. Everyone else can see you are a loudmouth asshole. You are the one ranting with lies! What are you ranting about?
You can try to deflect
But the fact is that US education is a mess
This is why no one takes you seriously, anyone with a modicum of intellect has heard of Homer. One need not be a ancient languages scholar to have heard of him.Prove it! You can't. All you have is your assumptions. If you know for certain of this, why would she lie?
I'm sorry, you are like a coon dog barking up the wrong tree!
that's what I meantPerson yes,
Not sure I knew there was onemovie no.
just because you play Desdemona doesn't mean you have read Henry IV, Part 2This is why no one takes you seriously, anyone with a modicum of intellect has heard of Homer. One need not be a ancient languages scholar to have heard of him.
She performed in a Shakespeare play, she is a performing arts major, thus she would be familiar with ALL of the Bards plays, including Troilus and Cressida, an adaptation of Homer's Iliad.
So her never having heard of Homer is mind boggling.
Yeah, if you are a performing arts major YOU HAVE.just because you play Desdemona doesn't mean you have read Henry IV, Part 2
I bolded the key words you are not missing. She was not raised on Western Literature.
She went to a private International school for high school and her father was a collage professor. Seems a bit racist to say Africans don't study the classics. You claim she had knowledge she obviously didn't and yet you cannot prove she should have been exposed to the Odyssey, when she obviously was not.
No, not really. On what are you basing your claim? I went to college with a bunch of performing arts people. They didn't sit and read the entire of the Shakespearean catalog not matter what you think.Yeah, if you are a performing arts major YOU HAVE.
At the graduate level they sure do. I know several Rutgers grads, Matt Boston has been a friend for decades, I even flew our to Denver for a performance he did a few years ago. Shakespeare is deep within the the curriculum of the performing arts. No, not really. On what are you basing your claim? I went to college with a bunch of performing arts people. That's nice. I know Brandeis grads. Should I throw names around? Having Shakespeare there doesn't mean reading all his plays. At the graduate level they sure do. I know several Rutgers grads, Matt Boston has been a friend for decades, I even flew our to Denver for a performance he did a few years ago. Shakespeare is deep within the the curriculum of the performing arts.
