I knew something was off when Venice's mayor immediately blamed climate change for his city's flooding. After the 1966 flooding, an infrastructure project called Moses was planned to hold back the seas.

53 years later it still hasn't been finished.

Apparently on my next visit to Venice I must take a diving suit to go around that city.

Seal level in venice has been rising at a rate of about 1.4mm per year....the land has been sinking at a rate of about 2.3mm per year. If climate change were even partly to blame, then a thinking person would expect that the 2019 flood would be worse than the 1966 flood. It wasn't...

Factor in the fact that the land has been sinking 2.3mm per year since 1966 or about 5 inches and it is clear that had the same amount of rain fallen in 1966, it wouldn't have even got your sneakers good and wet...

Heres what we have here.....

Some people are very impressionable and automatically tend to the hysterical. We all know a few of these people.....the ones doing burnouts to get to the grocery store to load up 6 baskets ahead of a 6" snowstorm. Very normal to them.

Same people see flooding rains somewhere and their heads explode with wild imagination stuff while most of us realize we've see the exact same thing a million times before.

Some people just tend to knee jerk to the hysterical all the time....thus the term, " snowflake". Its very real......but ghey.
