marijuana moving off Schedule 1

Not that anyone cares, but FedGov is finally pulling its head out of its butt.

Pot smokers don't care if it's legal or not, but it makes it harder for the cartels to sell to dispensaries.
You can thank FDR for banning marijuana in 1937. It had been a legal substance since our nation's founding.

What's the point? Substitute a freaking weed with mind altering properties for tobacco? Turn a generation of kids into Cheech and Chong?
we would hate for kids to become president, or a doctor, or an entrepreneur and revolutionary in their given profession. If you want to protect kids from dangerous substances then at least be consistent instead of these dangerous chemicals are ok but those are not. I am all for giving people more control over their bodies

BS. It is a gateway drug. It causes psychosis in at least 17% of users. It is dangerous.
Absolutely. It’s mostly Democrats but some Republicans are part of the problem. For example John Boehner who was during his political clear an anti-marijuana activist was paid millions of dollars by a pro marijuana firm after his political career , and now he is pro marijuana. The guy is a sellout and a fraud. And there are plenty of other Republicans who are a part of the marijuana lobby or who are not doing enough to stop the spread of legalized marijuana.

Part of why we have such filth and vandalism in the modern USA is because of heavy marijuana use. That’s not the case in Singapore where the marijuana is illegal and there are penalties for drug dealers even marijuana dealers.

I once heard a propagandist here say “so what that some mass school shooters smoke marijuana? They also drink water” . Water is not psychoactive. Marijuana is. The pro marijuana person responded with a troll post and basically went off-topic.

The fact is that for a sizable portion of male marijuana smokers, a great happy day for them is sitting in a box smoking weed, playing video games, eating a bunch of donuts and chips, watching porn, never meeting a woman in real life, never working a high paying job, Not owning a home. But they’re happy because they are high.

Not all marijuana users become feminized or weak or lazy. But a substantial portion of them do that is an undeniable fact. Now we can look at American history. Take a look at alcoholism. As bad as that can be and it can be bad ….it does not have the same sort of feminizing effect on men as does marijuana.

I think this whole weed Thing all really started with the hippie movement of the 1960s in the anti-war protests during the Vietnam war. Obviously there were drugs before this and even marijuana …marijuana being involved in popular culture though seemingly started with the hippie movement and the anti-war protests.

And while The USA should’ve perhaps avoided Vietnam a portion of the anti-war protests created weakness and anti-Americanism ie the idea that the USA was somehow uniquely evil in the annals of history….which is course is wrong. Other countries have started wars other countries have been involved in the slave trade. But a big part of the anti-war protests was marijuana. And a portion of marijuana users starting in the 1960s became very feminized and it was easier for them to just sit around smoke a bunch of weed and not do what their ancestors did which was being masculine and strong.

In my area in Buffalo there’s a bunch of Arab ran smoke shops. It is a very disturbing site. They even have minors go in there and buy drugs. There’s tons and tons of customers. A lot of the traditional Arabs are offended by this the fact that there are Arab drug dealers. a lot of Indians and arabs own smoke shops throughout the USA. Many people from the Indian and Arab background are offended by some of their fellow people getting involved in the drug trade. But it’s very lucrative. Of course there’s also white and black Americans involved in the drug trade as well.

I’ve noticed from the marijuana lobby and their supporters they never seem to be interested in an honest conversation… some of them are but many are not. They will go on and rant and rave about alcohol or other points, but they will not be honest and admit that a portion of marijuana users are not living proper lives. They will not admit that tons of people who were smoking marijuana and lazy, not employed not meeting women in real life who went on to stop smoking marijuana… would go on to have better lives.

as somebody who has previously drank a lot of alcohol and perhaps now has one alcoholic drink a month, I can safely admit that a portion of people who drink alcohol are negatively influenced by alcohol….so it is quite mind-boggling that some portion of the marijuana lobby and their supporters will not be honest and admit that marijuana causes problems with some of its users.

as a long time smoker I agree,, the new stuff isnt that good as we had back in the 70s and 80s
Most of the stuff in the 70's and 80's was coming from Mexico. Compared to the stuff being grown in America now, that stuff was shit. The potency is way higher now and the quality is far superior now to what you were smoking in the 70s.

“Marijuana in the 60s, 70s, 80s and early 90s was about 2% to 3% THC,” said Thurstone, who has tracked the rise of high-potency THC products in smoke shops and dispensaries. “Nowadays, with the commercialized products, they are routinely 20 plus percent — so about 10 times more potent.”

A rather relevant point.......~S~
