It seems we are near the end times. Sir Isaac Newton predicted around 2060 and I think that's a good guess.
Why? The end time prophecies are being fulfilled.
Today’s news is full of false religions, warfare and natural disasters. This fulfills the tribulation.
Paul the apostle warned that the last days would bring a marked increase in false teaching. We have replace truth with falsity of evolution and evolutionary thinking. The atheist scientists rule now and the Christians likely won't be able to teach creation science in time, if ever.
Does this describe the majority of people today? They are lovers of self and self-interest, lovers of money and luxury, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy (atheists?), without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. I suspect yes due to not believing in God anymore, i.e. faith in no God/gods or atheism.
Prophecy of apostasy. We have embraced moral relativism, a philosophy which is tainting even the church. For example, many denominations are having a hard time defining marriage as being between one man and one woman, and many religious leaders today are openly supporting homosexuality. God said it is an abomination, a detestable sin. It is "shameful" and "unnatural."
The formation of the European Union and a reunified Germany fulfills the ten horned beasts that will rule before the second coming of Jesus and the rapture. Who talks about the rapture anymore (see my last comment)?
Israel now rules on its own.
I suppose Jesus said to beware as Jesus will come like a "thief in the night."
