WWJD?

More to the point though….every partisan seems to want to lay claim to Jesus.
Which is why it is well to keep Abraham Lincoln's response to the question asked of him: "Whose side is God on?" Abe observed, "I think it is more important to ask ourselves, Who is on God's side?"

My own observations of President Trump and President Biden: I believe President Trump's focus was on making the country great with the hope that he would be noted for doing just that. My impression of President Biden is that his focus has always been on being great himself with the hope that when he is great, the country will be as well.

That is kind of funny…my impression of Trump and Biden are flipped from yours.

Except President Trump ran on "Make America Great Again" and President Biden's pictured himself in a (his theme) Battle for the soul of the Nation. President Biden pictured the nation as divided--with himself on the winning side. As I said...about him.

I am more Libertarian in nature with a loathing for bureaucracy and lobbyists. President Biden favors growth for both; President Trump less so.

Now this thread has double meaning, because I have very strong feelings that Jesus wouldn't have voted for Joe Biden and I'm extremely curious what motivation Christians have for voting for the biggest idiot that the democrats ever nominated, and second,.. Biden is so unlike Christ that he pretty much does the opposite of everything that Christ would do. Now, I'm not saying that Trump's perfect, neither of us are except for Christ,.. it just completely boggles my mind how and if Biden could still have Christian supporters right now if any.

Is this satire? I never know when it comes to American righties.

You mean Jesus would have voted for a narcissistic pathological liar who loves "grabbing pussies" and cheated on his wife with a porn star? Before or after that liar went through the eye of the needle? :p

I think Jesus was a pretty cool guy. But if the things written about him are somewhat true, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't care much for worldly leaders who hold material power and wealth. He would be more concerned about those who suffer because of them.

Why my little springtime girl, don't you know that Joe is the Beast Incarnate?

They love Jesus
Shrug. In the country overall, about 70% identify with a faith. In urban areas, that falls to about 50%; in some places under 50%. Also, in urban areas, people are more likely to find a bureaucracy or business when they need help, as opposed to less populated areas where people rely on themselves. It appears our urban areas are responsible for bringing in the big government that the rest of us deplore. Do urban areas have more weak individuals than less populated areas?

You could not be more wrong

The Dust Bowl in the 30s brought along big government. It was just too big for local charity

Big government also brought electrification, water, paved roads, schools, hospitals to rural America

They were too weak to do it on their own

Is government the same size as the 1930s? No government expansion since? Are we still in the midst of a dust bowl? Did government decline when it declined?

So you think they should have voted for the other idiot?

We still support our rural areas. They could not maintain their standard of living without government support

They receive more than they pay in taxes

Which god?

The one and only who never once turned His back on His own people.

Sounds a bit like Trump to me….

Okay, so I've already admitted that Trump himself isn't really a saint. He's lied before and put his foot into his mouth, but when has he ever cheated? And he definitely cares about the security of our border and our troops.

That is kind of funny…my impression of Trump and Biden are flipped from yours.

When it comes to Biden people are definitely flipping something....

Can't stand Biden myself. What is WWJD?

Normally it's what would Jesus do, but it's a play on words because this thread also talks about Joe Biden and how he does exactly the opposite of what Jesus would do.

It's the lesser of the two evils in my mind.

Btw,.. not saying F Coyote because she's a democrat I like,.. but that doesn't mean I have to like dumbbiden anymore than she has to like Trump.

It's a poor decision making strategy

Trump has lied and cheated multiple times, his administration was an exercise in constant crisis management. He constantly attacked any who criticized him or attemped to speak truth to power and abused his powers to destroy his "enemies". He was heartless to the plight of children at the border.

Biden is more incompetent than malign imo. Trump combined malign with incompetenxe and an insatiable ego.

Wasn't Jesus about turning the other cheek?

I will just say this though. I don't believe our so called leader isn't fit to lead. In fact, Biden's been misleading us from day one. Another fault of his, was lying and telling people that they don't need to pay rent, when the truth was or should have been they should only pay it if people had the money for it.

Now they are partly to blame for spending their money on vacations and more expensive stuff and being evicted after their HUGE unpaid debt for it later on, but so is bidedumb.

Jesus would be all about Monarchy... totalitarian regimes are his idea of a good thing...but only if He is in charge himself.

He isn't about taking polls or having a focus group study the subject. His words are always the LAW.

Take it or die would be his mantra.

Wasn't Jesus about turning the other cheek?

Yes, but there are two problems with this. The first problem is that God only gave us two cheeks. The second problem is that Biden already has gone and turned both of his on us on his ass. I know I'm nowhere near being the perfect Christian, and neither is Trump. (and if you had people saying things about you the way the media does with Trump then you probably would be pissed too) In fact I think I've even heard him admit before that he isn't perfect, but he was a big fan of keeping our borders safe and he would have never turned his back on our troops the way that Biden did.

In fact, if he did,.. there's absolutely no doubt in my mind that he would have been impeached for it. Biden has committed fraud, treason, and gone against the constitution. Not only should he be impeached, but he should be locked up in my opinion. It's also sort of strange that when democrats say that Trump has committed a list of crimes they can't even name what they are and the people who voted for Biden who are saying that this isn't what they voted for is an oxymoron.
