GeorgePhillip posted this link which is interesting enough;

The Worker Self-Directed Enterprise: A "Cure" for Capitalism, or a Slippery Slope to Socialism?

And this is exactly the sort of rubbish professors teach in school. It makes sense to them and their 20 year old students. It's fair and simple and every worker feels like they can contribute and should have a louder voice.

I wont carry on with my opinions, instead I'll simply throw out the challenge to GeorgePhillip or this professor to go ahead and start one. Gather up your buddies, decide what business you want to be in and then start a factory or bakery or whathaveyou.

Oh sure, you'll quickly realize that you need money and labor and talent and these don't come as quickly as silly ideas but don't let that stop you. Someone(s) will have to sign personal guarantees, take on legal liability by being a director, expose their personal selves and families to regulators, employment, tax and environmental laws, or just frivolous lawsuits, etc. But tell them they get no greater share of influence or profit because 'we're all equal members of the team'. Sounds pretty easy to me, let us know how it works.
