Would you intervene like Penny did on the subway???

After this trial, and the disregard of Good Samaritan laws by the left, would you step in and defend others like Penny did? If you would, what would you do different, if anything?

I can say that I did something similar when I was substitute teaching some 43 years ago. I was substituting in a middle school 8th grade class. Apparently, one kid was pestering another much bigger and stronger kid. The bigger kid, who was my size stood up, turned around and start punching the kid in the face. I shouted at him to stop, but he kept on hitting him. I went to him from the back and wrapped my arm around him and bent him over my knee. My arm was up around his neck area but not in a head lock. Much like Penny was doing. The kid weighed the same as me. But, I had been a black belt for 9 years and was able to keep him bent back over my knee. He struggled trying to get out of my hold. Finally, after about 30 seconds and me telling him to calm down, he calmed down. The girl next to us said to me that he was turning blue. I asked him if he could breathe and he said he could. He was just turning colors from struggling. I asked him if he was ready to stop fighting and go to the principal's office and he said he was. I held him like Penny held the guy. Penny didn't have him in a choke hold. If he did, the guy would have been out in about 3 seconds. So, that is not what killed the guy.

A year later, I was still substitute teaching and went one day to sub in a P.E. class at the high school near the middle school. I heard someone shout out my name at me. It was the same kid I had wrapped up a year earlier. He came over smiling. We talked and laughed about it. It said he was surprised I was able to control him so easily. I then told him I am a black belt for 10 years now. He wasn't mad and actually thanked me for stopping him because he said he was totally out of control and may have killed him.

When I finally landed a teaching job that I held for 16 years at a high school, I wrapped up a few kids to stop them from fighting. I never had one of them get mad at me. They all thanked me from stopping them because they said they would have killed the other kid. Two guys once were on my basketball team and fighting during lunch. I grabbed the big guy in a front bear hug and moved him 30 feet into a class room and sat him down. He was 6'2" and about 200 lbs. I was 5'8" and about 185 at the time. I had been weight lifting and could bench 350 lbs. I sat him down in the chair still hanging on him. He said I'm going to kill him. I said, you can't even get out of my grip. What are you talking about? He stopped wiggling and calmed down. The next day in practice, he was fine and they worked out their disagreement.

Don't be afraid to help people in need. The world needs people who are willing to help and stop violence. I praise Penny for his fearlessness to help those who could have been seriously hurt. Apparently, this guy actually hit old people in the past and sent them to the hospital. Alvin Bragg should be fired and locked up in a mental institution with the rest of the leftist Democrats who blame people because of the color of their skin.

At 95 years of age i would and I would stake everything i have not one of you would win.

Most 30 year Olds would crumble vs me
This. I knew a tough lady who recently passed away. Miss June learned to box from her older brothers who learned to fight against neighborhood boys in Borough Park, Brooklyn, NY.

I remember her teaching a class, and there was one really belligerent boy. He was an 18 year old senior, 6'4" 220 lbs. and foolishly grabbed Miss June by the arm. Miss June was 115 lbs at best. She knocked him to the moon with a punch that would make a kangaroo jealous.

There was another time when Miss June was approaching centenarian status. A street thug tried to rob her. Miss June poked him in the gut with one blow from her umbrella. Let's just say that the guy is now walking around with two navels.

btw. Years after the school incident, Miss June attended the wedding of that belligerent boy student. They toasted with wine and had a good laugh.

Here's what happened, a mentally ill guy was screaming on a train.

No other passenger except the killer decided to take it upon himself to snuff the guy out.

The answer to the question is, no one was being threatened.
He wasn't just screaming. He was threatening to hurt and kill people including old people. Looking at his background, he has injured old people before. Several times. He's a violent person, not just a yeller. That's your first mistake.
Penny did not kill him. He was breathing the whole time. Penny and two BLACK MEN were helping hold him down. The two BLACK MEN should have been charged as co-conspirators. If they were WHITE, they would have been. But, Alvin Bragg is BLACK. Get the picture?
The man died later from whatever. But, not from a choke hold. That did not kill him. The Police even said so. The Police said for Bragg not to charge him because he didn't kill him and he was protected by Good Samaritan Laws.
The witnesses all said they were being threatened with their lives. So, you are again wrong. Try not to show your bigotry.

It happens

Here's the thing. You formed your opinion after reading a few headlines and opinion pieces. Those jurors heard a LOT more evidence than you did. I therefore would trust their opinion far more than I would yours.

No, I would not. Mostly because I really don’t care enough about other people to protect or defend them. Then again I try to avoid public locations anyway, so the chances of me being there are minimal.

Now, if I was out in public with my wife and we were directly threatened, that’s a different story. For that situation I carry at least one handgun and a knife. I don’t fight fair. Never have and never will.

He was threatening the life of a lady with a baby...I think I would have to. It wouldn't even be a choice.

1 - I couldn't live with myself if I did nothing.

2 - On the day of my judgement...God would bitch-slap me for doing nothing...and I thunk it'd be better to lose your life in a brave & nobel manner than to get bitch-slapped by God Himself!

Hmm, I thought the other people on the train said they felt threatened. Did they not say that?

Also, there were two black guys who helped penny hold the guy down, why were they not also charged as accessories?
In every video recording of the incident what you hear from people on the train, is them screaming at Neely to get off the victim before he kills him.

I take it you agree w/the same jurisdiction's juror who found Trump guilty not too long ago then?

I would trust their opinion more than I would the opinion of a random internet keyboard jockey. Of course, if that gets overturned, are you going to trust those who overturned it?
