The Constitution may not allow us to establish a religion, but what if atheism was banned, and people were free to choose any religion they wanted?

Would it be Constitutional to ban atheism?

No. People are already free to choose any religion they want, and that includes no religion.

.
Just think what this Nation would be like if Wokiets had thier way.

We know what it would be.

If we travel in the Wayback Machine to America circa October 2024.

Open borders, high inflation, CRT in schools and endless war.

No Sir, I don't like it.

There were State approved religions for decades after COTUS came into being. It wasn't until the 14th Amendment came around that the Deep State, aka, The Judiciary, started banning State religions.

Until then, there were many. Every State had its own favorite.

Already wrong. The Constitution says no such thing. The 1st A prevents Congress from making laws regarding the establishment of religion; prohibiting the free exercise of religion, and we already saw how fast that went just as soon as they had Covid to justify it.

but what if atheism was banned, and people were free to choose any religion they wanted?
People are already free. Besides, religion/theism is just faith in God, whereas atheism is merely faith in man.

I believe Atheism is the complete absence of any belief in anything. Besides science. Which, I believe in science, too.

I'm still waiting for science to explain the Big Bang. It's not a Theory, it is accepted as fact.

An infinitely small particle, with infinite mass, infinite gravity, infinite energy and infinite radiation appears ouy of nowhere and BOOM!! The Universe is born. ('Infinity/Infinite' is when Math Stops Working. some 'science', huh?)

Sounds kind of Creationist to me.

But what do I know. I belive in 'God', I just don't believe in people a whole lot. Very little, anyway. So I'm not very religious. My bad

Not being allowed to express what they believe violates the 1st Amendment, no? 😏

And science is man, so atheism is faith in man.

Theories can be accepted facts. But the Big Bang remains a theory as no one was there to prove it as fact.

The Big Bang was the ultimate creation.

Science is discovered, not invented. Whether we, as Man, are aware of it or not, it still exists. The existance of The Universe is not dependent on our knowledge of it.

Pretty sure Biden was :dunno:
The Big Bang was the ultimate creation.

There is a theory, one that I postulated informally (more like spitballing) years ago, that the expansion and contraction of the Universe is never-ending. The Universe is still expanding at an incredible rate but it could be that, at some point, it will stop expanding and start contracting until, like dimocraps, it disappears up its own asshole and goes BANG! again.

It's possible

The last U.S. state to abolish its state religion was Massachusetts in 1833. This was about 35 years before the ratification of the 14th Amendment.

As it should be right? Wr could be a nation of many different religions all free to worship accordingly. As a Christian I strongly support this.

No, it should not be. Government has no right to authorize state religions.

That's over.
