Yes, older people at the cusp of SS got grandfathered in at the time, but they made that change many years ago.

Plenty of these deadbeat boyfriends have jobs and are easy to find. They even have an option to add their child to their insurance plan at work. But they don’t, and you know why? Because they’d have to pay for it, and they’d rather the kid goes on Medicaid and WE can pay for it.

I know one with a full-time job, earning $70k. Doesn’t pay a cent for his kid. The mother should sue him for child support, but she’d prefer to just get all the welfare instead. Said it’s easier for her that way.
