If God gave commandments to Adam and he dispensed them to the rest of humanity. Which he did. That makes Adam a prophet. If God appeard to Adam and gave him commandments, then that makes Adam a prophetAdam was not "prophet." He and Eve gave us "original sin" and we've been paying for it ever since.
Jesus was not a "prophet" either. He is the Son of God who died on the cross so that all could be saved. No other so-called "diety" healed the sick, raised the dead, or fed the multitude from only a few loaves of bread and some fishes. No other so-called "diety" was put to death and was resurrected. He sits at the tight-hand side of God awaiting the time when all will be judged.
God was not a stranger to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, He was there with them. So He didn't "appear" to Adam.
Ahh, but the only commandments God gave Adam and Eve were as in Genesis 2:16-17..
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
That is the only known instance of God commanding Adam to do anything. Most "prophesies" as generally referred to in the Bible, foretell the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Old testament is full of them, 355 to be exact. And every one of them is so accurate it's uncanny...
