Women leaving Repub voting ranks in droves

The usual con- drone, suspects like whitehall, Sanctimony & Housegimp are drawn to the thread like moths to a flame ;)

OMG... You and Huggy are an item now?

Awww... Isn't troll love grand....

How come you ran away from an honest question, pussy?

Still running away, huh Dottie?

Not interested in actually backing up your bullshit, are you?

LOL, what a joke..

women know they can get contraceptives and even their precious abortions..

this article is a joke.. but it's evident the Washington compost thinks women are STUPID

It's not JUST contraceptives and abortions:

Stop the War on Women

Top 10 Shocking Attacks from the GOP's War on Women

1) Republicans not only want to reduce women's access to abortion care, they're actually trying to redefine rape. After a major backlash, they promised to stop. But they haven't yet. Shocker.

2) A state legislator in Georgia wants to change the legal term for victims of rape, stalking, and domestic violence to "accuser." But victims of other less gendered crimes, like burglary, would remain "victims."

3) In South Dakota, Republicans proposed a bill that could make it legal to murder a doctor who provides abortion care. (Yep, for real.)

4) Republicans want to cut nearly a billion dollars of food and other aid to low-income pregnant women, mothers, babies, and kids.

5) In Congress, Republicans have a bill that would let hospitals allow a woman to die rather than perform an abortion necessary to save her life.

6) Maryland Republicans ended all county money for a low-income kids' preschool program. Why? No need, they said. Women should really be home with the kids, not out working.

7) And at the federal level, Republicans want to cut that same program, Head Start, by $1 billion. That means over 200,000 kids could lose their spots in preschool.

8) Two-thirds of the elderly poor are women, and Republicans are taking aim at them too. A spending bill would cut funding for employment services, meals, and housing for senior citizens.

9) Congress just voted for a Republican amendment to cut all federal funding from Planned Parenthood health centers, one of the most trusted providers of basic health care and family planning in our country.

10) And if that wasn't enough, Republicans are pushing to eliminate all funds for the only federal family planning program. (For humans. But Republican Dan Burton has a bill to provide contraception for wild horses. You can't make this stuff up).

Add to these elements the fact that callous conservatives support such 'ideas' and the hypothesis that the GOP has become a far right fringe organization stands up to scrutiny.

You really don't want to go with that comment do you?

Thanks (oxy)Rush :2up:

Recent debate over contraception comes as GOP loses gains among women - The Washington Post
The fragile gains Republicans had been making among female voters have been erased, a shift that has coincided with what has become a national shouting match over reproductive issues, potentially handing President Obama and the Democrats an enormous advantage this fall.

What a pointless and baseless crock of shit propaganda piece....

I must say, I am flabbergasted at the continued assertion by Righties on this board that they do not listen to Rush Limbaugh....and that it appears to them that only Lefties do.

That's quite a statement to make.....when one thinks about it, seriously.

:eusa_whistle:

Go wash and inventory your filthy dildo collection, you stupid fuck.

Getting the definite impression that Warrior has quite a collection himself. :eusa_whistle: Any port in a storm, it would appear.

There are so many ways I could go with your comment
Like if Fluke wants birth control covered in her healthcare plan find a healthcare provider that has it
or
The pill prevent pregnancy Viagra starts it
But I will go with this
IIf this were "the Church" and its employees that work for the diocese, I would agree with you....the gvt would need to make an exception for them, but THIS IS NOT the church but a nonprofit business, the Catholic charities, who got 50% of their money to run their hospitals and universities from the government, which serve the PUBLIC and employ the general public and not just parishioners.....

the Catholic church is not paying the premium for their employees to have birth control covered....

Georgetown is Catholic ordained

Georgetown University: Campus Ministry
huh? what do you mean by Catholic ordained? you gave me a list of chaplains there INCLUDING a Rabbi so what's your point? It is not run by the Catholic Church, but by Catholic Charities....it allows all faiths or athiests from the public to attend it with no requirements on religious faith and it employs people of all faiths or non faiths, not just Catholics.

IT IS NOT a Church bigreb?

Santorum should drop out. He's way too far right and wil lose 40 states.

yep, he's a fine example of a religious Catholic....... NOT!!!! Shame on him for continually being a VULGAR, nasty, human being....yes, i'm commenting on YOU warrior boy....just shut up, you make Satan proud and embarrass the rest of us who are Catholic!!!

Anyone that thinks conservative women will vote Obama in November because of this is seriously demented.

I have been posting this forever here.
And many are so clueless they ask for a link!
As long as we allow the fringe right wing religous right to have any influence in party platforms this is going to be the norm.
Defeating Obama has to be priority #1 instead of the gay boogeyman issue and contraceptives be they whatever.
Until we run off the moral police expect 4 more years of Obama and his ass backwards policies. Fiscal conservatism has taken a back seat to the Christian Taliban.

It will certainly lead some to seriously reassess while they're affiliated w/ a party who is scared of their unofficial misogynistic spokesman- oxyRush.

No they are buying a product with their own money that they need, unless you are saying consumers are sluts and prostitutes?
huh? sandra fluke pays her premiums just as the guy wanting viagra or a vasectomy yet she was labeled a prostitute....? There is nothing wrong with women that have insurance that they pay a premium for to want BC pills be part of their coverage and to call these women sluts and prostitutes is uncalled for, by anyone....let alone by near every republican

Can you show me a direct quote from 'nearly every Republican' in the House and Senate, where they call these women a slut or prostitute? Or, are you just taking the Rush quote and simply assuming every Republican said the same thing, like so many hyper partisan liberals do?

You are correct, that these women are not sluts nor prostitutes... but you are incorrect to state that 'nearly every Republican' has called them such.
can you show me any republican right wing person on this site who has not agreed with Rush or defended Rush? Maybe I missed it in the +/- 100k threads that have been started on this?

There have been many. They have quite clearly stated they disagreed with the words chosen.

More propaganda from the washington post, not surprising one bit. If you take that paper for real bipartisan news that explains alot about you. That's as bad as taking anything the huffington post puts out seriously.

Anyone that thinks conservative women will vote Obama in November because of this is seriously demented.

Staying at home is just as bad and I know many conservative women that would never vote for Rick Santorum and want no part of government mandated bans on abortion.
True conservatives focus on FISCAL ISSUES, not abortion, gay this and that and contraceptives.

If that were the case why are so many conservative divided in whom they support? Why are so many supportive of the mirror image of obama?

I do. Even before the GOP turned hard right, the RINO's as the current crop of conservatives call mainstream moderate R's, opposed the Equal Rights Amendment.
