Among his remarks he made it clear that trump is crazy, and with him and his cabal in office we have no one to protect democracy or the environment. Nothing in his remarks indicate that he doesn't think trumpsters are stupid, racist and homophobic. He only said we need to dumb down our remarks to a level they are capable of understanding.

I have been following American politics for 60 years. Ideological shifts do not last.

Lately the political climate is to throw out whoever is in power and start over.

It is not "extreme" to protect minors from being persuaded to get their genitals irreversibly mutilated via transgender surgery. If they still want to get transgender surgery when they turn 18, fine and dandy, although perhaps the age minimum should be 21, given that the reasoning part of the human brain does not fully develop until the ages of 21 to 24.

It is not "extreme" to require that counselors and medical professionals notify a child's parents if the child is denying their gender and trying to obtain puberty blockers.

It is not "extreme" to protect women's sports from biological males who "self-identify" as females. IOW, it is not extreme to prevent female athletes from being forced to compete against males.

It is not "extreme" to insist that biological males use male restrooms and that biological females use female restrooms.

It is not "extreme" to prohibit teachers from discussing sexually explicit issues/material with grade-school children.

It is not "extreme" to protect an unborn baby from abortion after 15 weeks if there has been no rape or incest and if the mother's life is not threatened by the baby's birth.

They receive counseling, puberty blockers and hormone therapy when they are older.

Most transgenders do not receive genital surgery at all
