.Wisconsin school district dropped book on Japanese-American incarceration during WWII from curriculum, arguing that the story was 'unbalanced'

You can be rounded up,lose your job and your home in America for having the wrong colour skin. Then you cover it up because it makes you look bad.

It was FDR a 4 term Democrat who ordered the Internment of the AMERICAN citizens of Japanese ancestry into the camps.

It was later discovered that he had no basis for making the EO when it was shown they were no threat to security not only that there were a large population American Japanese who were never rounded up in other states thus again more evidence that DDR had no legal basis.

So some asshole is changing my post?

I'm outta here.

While I disagree with nearly everything you said it would appear a moderator changed your reply to suit their purpose as opposed to stating what they disagreed with. Seems to me that is against site rules.

Ann Zielke, a parent of a student in the district, told NBC News that School Board Vice President Terri Boyer claimed the book offered an "unbalanced" account of historical events.

"What she said to me was that we actually need an 'American' perspective,'" Zielke said, adding that the people in the internment camps were Americans.

In Wisconsin this time.
Teenagers are not to learn that the US was mean to Japanese Americans during the war..
It speaks volumes about the GOPs view of Americans who do not look like them.
Your liberties are disappeaing every day.
It was demscum that intered japanese Americans dumbass. This is what happens when you get a dumb Britt posting.

It was America.

uh-oh, the phrase that proves another lefty got caught with his hand in the cookie jar...reminds me of a phrase from some years back :
"They're a mostly peaceful religion"...whenever that phrase popped up you knew that some terrible atrocity occurred somewhere in the world...the more honest among us even knew who it pointed the finger at.

Americas guilt in those atrocities belong to the left, you can tell by their willingness to share that guilt with the entire country...the claim "it was America" is proof of that

I'm not sure how one balances facts that they do not like.
If the book only covered Japanese internment without citing Germans and Italians who were interned it would have been unbalanced

I have found many libs who were surprised to hear that Germans were also interned

No, it was a work of fiction about one Japanese girls experience. Did you not read the link?

Interesting.... tell me, what percentage of the interned were Germans and Italians, for the purpose of proportioning and balance?

Question of the day... how were Americans citizens treated in Japan during WW II.
A hint.... it was 1000 times worse than we treated them.
Japan captured approximately 15,000 American citizens who were in Japan when Peral Harbor happened.
They were imprisoned in some of the worst human conditions in modern history, save how Germany treated Jews obviously.

OH... You didn't know that Tommy???
I am shocked!!
Tommy likes unbalanced. He is unbalanced...

You dumb fucking asswipe, it was FDR the commie Democrat who put those people in the camps.

Democrats are racists. Even today. Joe Biden is a racist. Kamala Harris is a racist. Bennie Thompson is a racist they're all fucking racists. Even Hitlery, she's a racist too

So - to recap.........
Almost every country involved in WW II had internment camps.
But Gee Tommy only wants to talk about American internment.... because he is a troll. And that is why so many of his threads go to The Badlands.
Second - Japan had internment camps for American citizens who were living in Japan as the war started.
They captured and rounded up approx. 15,000 and put them in essentially prison camps and treated then like prisoners of war.
Britain had several internment camps keeping several citizens from different nationalities in forced camps. Started as young males only, but they also rounded up foreign women and children'
Aw damn.... that just ruins the spirit of this troll thread doesn't it?

Their livelyhoods were taken from them. Their homes, their belongings, but yeah, they were treated "decent".

I guess this is what is meant by alternative facts.

We see people on here (including yourself) arguing to retaliate against people, many who have done nothing.
Not one of FDR's finer moments. BYW one of leading voices in Congress against Japanese internment was conservative GOP Senator Robert Taft.
