Mr R----I enjoy ancient literature ----including the FOUNDING EPICS
and consider them sources for real history.
-----albeit lots of poetic license.

referring to the bible, the oddyssey or the hindu epics as MYTH ---
as if they are utter fiction-----is a big mistake IMHO ----there is history
in them---thar poems----and a very very important window into
the developement of the HUMAN MIND-----without which ---
we would not have THE DSM

getting back to the present message board----there is no way
of understanding the middle east without a knowlege of the
ethos of jews vs muslims and muslims vs jews----one
way to know----is analysis of the respective ancient literatures---
and present "theology"-------ie the RESPECTIVE WORLD VIEWS

There is a huge difference in WORLD VIEW ---between peoples who
embrace a concept of PRE-DETERMINISM ---vs
a CHOICE PEOPLE
