Did you notice Judea and Samaria are NOT part of Israel?
They are part of the Occupied Territories that Israel has filled with Jews from 'round the world since 1967. That makes the wall both apartheid and illegal.
That is true----JUDEA is JUDEA aka samaria ---and Israel is
Israel ---the two historic jewish kingdoms that merged
The greenline to which you refer was never the border---
Israel was Israel and Judea was Judea and still is ----
Israel/Judea-----historically called THE KINGDOM
OF ISRAEL (in view of the fact that the founder
of the 12 tribes was JACOB---renamed ISRAEL --
when he fell off the ladder-----gabriel knocked him
off ) Judah was one of the sons of Jacob----I think
the fourth-----Jacob considered his first born---REUBEN--
something of a schmuck number 2 and 3---also jerks
Your mythology depends heavily on schmucks and jerks, doesn't it.
What does Fourth Geneva Convention mean to you?
The story of jacob is an example of fine ancient epic literature
(actually poetry) sublime to the point that it exceeds the Odyssey.
In its time it provided a lesson in leadership which was lost on
jerks like you-----one of the lessons relates to INHERTIED POWER--
Jacob was not the first born of Isaac----Esau was (they were twins
but esau emerged first)----but he INHERITED leadership anyway---
by the choice of his parents (the concept of CHOICE is very
in early bibilical writings and contrasts sharply with the ethos
of the rest of the world at that time) Jacob continues the
family tradition of discarding that which every one else is
doing----ie naming the FIRST BORN as leader---and names
JUDAH---his fourth born son. He skips Reuben, Shimon -
and Levi. A really interesting factoid is Moses and Aaron
are descendants of Levi -----it is a kind of slap in the face
of the standard PRE-DETERMINATION---concepts of the time.
You probably missed it----but the Odyssey addresses a similar
issue from a different POV.
even more interesting----islamic ideology supports a concept of
ABSOLUTE PREDETERMINATION.....everything 'happens' by
"the will of allah" The entire book of genesis repeats the
major theme-----MAN's FREE WILL over and over again
getting back to Jacob----he is the person who "wrestles"
with an "angel"----a really poetic metaphor on the same
subject. (for the record the angel is "Gabriel"---that's
'jibril' in arabic----the guy in the bat cave)
