WINNING!!!!! DOW up over 2000 points in one day

You’re too infected with TDS to recognize a good opportunity.

When you’re still working, don’t blame ME. I told you how you can take advantage of what’s going on to retire early.

Because of all the countries not paying tariffs, you zoomed in on Israel. And yes…..double standards applied to Israel makes Jews look bad, which is why antisemitism is sky-high.

I still have no idea what you’re talking about. The fact that Israel doesn’t have tariffs on our products is a good thing. I thought that’s what you wanted? It’s what I want. There’s no double standard here.

You seem to be confused as to what a free trade agreement means. It means we don’t have tariffs on their products and they don’t have tariffs on our products.

I swear to god, you are so delusional and paranoid.

This is a trader's market right now. An unexpected surge this afternoon... I am thinking about taking profits on two short term utilities I have, and then I'll anticipate bad news over the weekend and a decline on Monday, which if we get it means time to head back into DRV

UPDATE: I hedged my bets. I sold my FE for a $173 gain but decided to hang on to my Dominion (D) for now.

Of course we were being ripped off. We have to pay tariffs to countries in order to help THEM, and we didn’t have tariffs to help US.

Companies making a fortune by selling their products to Americans shouldn’t be producing them in other countries, giving jobs to people of those other countries. They should be employing AMERICANS.

We don't pay the tariffs, dummy. Their own consumers do when they tariff us. Likewise, tThe US tariffing another country just puts more burden on our citizens, who pay the tariff.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Employing Americans? So, that same product can now cost 5-10x more? Why would a company destroy their business like that?

When there’s no advantage to employing slave labor overseas and companies start employing the Americans they’re making a profit from, it will hardly be a burden.

And just let slaves overseas produce things cheap - including from enemy countries - and keep more of our people on government charity? That’s why you all like the illegals coming in - they do work in the cheap, and Americans can stay on the dole.

You didn't learn that in the public schools!

He has China on the ropes. It's not just about decreasing the trade deficit with these other nations it's about putting China in a bad spot. Many of these other nations are adversaries with China in terms of trading. You guys just don't think much. Also, we don't know how much the trade deficit we reduced. It could be much larger than you believe.

What's idiotic as you continue to believe these tallking heads who don't know a thing. I have heard some of the most idiotic things I have ever from professors and so-called experts over the last few years. Almost all of them are leftist.
/---/ This morning I'm buying some SPY calls deep in the money for a few pennies a month out. It will only cost about $50, but I'll be prepared if there is another major run-up. I might put a PUT just to be on the safe side.

Check the Dow

Does that look like “winning” to you?

Short term pain.

Trump could still win in the long run with this tariff policy.

If you didn't see stock market problems coming, and didn't take chips off the table -- that's on you. Not on Trump.

Take chips off the table?

How do you do that with a 401K

And if you could… where you put that money? Bonds?

The bond market collapsed..

It's very simple. I went onto my retirement fund's website and rebalanced into government bonds and corporate bonds, several times over the past 2+ months. I'm at a .5% gain for the year.
