Wines are something you have to drink a LOT of to keep up with the various flavors and grape qualities coming from around the world.
The Northwest USA has some great white gewurstrameiners and reislings....off dry....also some fairly decent merlot.
Italian barrolo and barbaresco are big baddies we don't see much of.
We have wines coming from everywhere anymore made out of everything. Some of these are flat, watery, low flavor things that aren't worth the bottle they were placed inside if. Barely drinkable....the ONLY thing good about them is that they are "non-toxic" under old standards of toxicity.
