Harris was a dedicated and ambitious “rising star,” a lawyer for battered women and then an effective prosecutor before her 8-month relationship with Willie Brown some 25 years ago, who himself was “one of the ten sexiest men” in 1984 according to Playgirl Magazine. The jobs she got from Brown were well paying political patronage jobs that gave her economic security and helped her future, as did even more the people she met through their relationship. These were not civil service jobs taken from anybody else.

Brown himself was a brilliant political operative who had risen from nothing to great power, ultimately earning big money “legally” as “a corporate lawyer.” He was a professional politician who was never convicted of corruption. An overall effective mainstream politician who worked with Republicans to keep effective control of the State Legislature even when Democrats lost their majority there.

Kamala Harris made it clear when she ran for District Attorney years later that she was not in any way beholding to Brown, and she was elected locally and re-elected as California Attorney General despite the scandal mongering and insults she received for her old connection to Brown. Brown never went out with “Bimbos” but prided himself always for his taste in women, suits and automobiles, and for helping politicians he thought had promise.

People don’t have to approve her politics, but the lies of the OP are ridiculous. The language we hear accusing her of being “a whore,” of being on the one hand “not black” and on the other “a black nonentity” are meant only to serve partisan ends, and to stir the pot.

As I’ve said before, there are many powerful billionaires and corporate capitalists in California and across the country who know Kamala Harris and would be happier to see her as President than Trump. Why? Not because they especially love her tax policy or the DNC program, but because they consider Trump incompetent and an unstable chief executive of the nation, and they think Harris and Biden are more likely to unify the country in its coming trials.

I would ordinarily NEVER consider voting for a Democratic Presidential ticket. In my 60 years of voting I only did so once before. These Democratic candidates are almost as repulsive to me as was Hillary Clinton in 2016. I strongly denounce Biden for supporting our overseas adventures (like Iraq and Afghanistan) and the DNC for continuing to support Trump’s sanctions against Russia over NordStream2 and Crimea.

NEVERTHELESS, the mindless, sexist and racist language of many Trump supporters, their rabid and ignorant ultra-nationalism, and their characterizations of everybody in the “Demoncratic” Party as “leftists” or “communists” — THIS makes me inclined to vote Democratic against my better judgement.

Trump’s selfish, divisive and incompetent leadership rule him out from my perspective. I also think his fundamental irrationality and ignorance in trying to implement an “America First” foreign policy will sooner or later inevitably lead to war — and probably a more horrific one than the DNC may stumble into.
