The Political Lie of White Genocide

There is no white genocide going on anywhere on Earth. That is a fact. And there is certainly no white genocide in South Africa. There is no white oppression because of race in South Africa. What this is, is the same story we hear in America by some of the white community who feel that a move towards true equality takes things from whites.

South Africa: The groups playing on the fears of a 'white genocide’

Taking a swipe at UK Prime Minister Theresa May as she struggled to dance with schoolchildren during her visit to South Africa this week, controversial British columnist Katie Hopkins tweeted: "Whites are being slaughtered in South Africa & inexplicably Appeaser May chooses to crucify herself".

Hopkins' tweet was the latest example of a global campaign to portray South Africa's once dominant white population as a victimised minority under attack.

"The violent, ethnic cleansing of white farmers by armed, black gangs is infuriating & heartbreaking. And the world doesn't care. Or at least the mainstream media doesn't care. Do you?" she added.

Her comments reflect the growing influence of South Africa's conservative Afrikaner groups who are conducting global lobbying campaigns to support their message that white farmers are being targeted and killed, that the government is seizing their land, they are being discriminated against by affirmative action programmes and that their language is being sidelined.

South Africa's land problem

  • The Natives Land Act of 1913 restricted black people from buying or renting land in "white South Africa", leading to the forced removals of black people
  • After the end of apartheid in 1994, the ANC government said it wanted to return 30% of this land to its previous owners by 2014
  • It is estimated that 10% of commercial farmland has been redistributed.
Mr Trump's intervention was a political coup for AfriForum - the main South African lobby group championing the cause of Afrikaners, especially farmers.

"They [Afriforum] are gripped in a siege mentality. They can't see a world where their privilege is challenged. They disregard history," said University of South Africa political analyst Somadoda Fikeni.

So as we see, these are South African white right wing extremists lying about being oppressed because they can't control the nation anymore.

This White South African says it all.

HAHAHAHAHA, you are panicking, and we love it-)

Whites on the right do have the victim mentality. We don't. The use of the term by people like you is due to the gaslighting started by Limbaugh where we are supposed to be victims because we call out the racism that continues to happen, is different from whites whining about they imagine that isn't.

Wow darkie, ignorance suits you. I am no victim and and your ilk are nothing to fear.

What is driving the ‘white genocide’ conspiracy theory in South Africa?

The first group of white South Africans arrived in the US after President Donald Trump granted them refugee status, claiming that a “genocide” is occurring in the African country.

Trump, whose tycoon ally Elon Musk was born in South Africa, said white farmers were being killed in the country and repeated an allegation of "genocide" that has been widely dismissed as absurd.

So, where in the South African context does this hail from?

Claims of white genocide have been circulating since apartheid ended in the country after 1994. Apartheid, an Afrikaaner word which means “separateness”, was the legalised segregation of races and was in place in South Africa from 1948.

Mainly Afrikaner-led governments imposed the apartheid system that denied black people political and economic rights until it was voted out in 1994.

Under apartheid, Black South Africans were subjected to white rule, afflicting Black communities with poverty, disparity and a severe lack of movement, just to name a few.

The white population, on the other hand, benefited from an economy booming from gold and diamond sales, as it underpaid its non-white labour to scrounge the earth.

Thirty years after apartheid’s end, unequal access to education, pay disparities and segregated communities still persist.

Whites, who make up 7.3 percent of the South Africa’s population, generally enjoy a higher standard of living than the black majority. They still own two-thirds of farmland and, on average, earn three times as much as black South Africans.

However, conspiracy theorists allege that white South African farmers are being targeted as part of a system of extermination, linking the claim to land reforms implemented post-apartheid.

South Africa does experience violence against farmers that can turn into murderous attacks. According to research done by AfriForum, a South African non-governmental organisation that focuses on Afrikaners’s interests, attacks on farms have been on the decline from between 2019 to 2022.

Pauline Bax, African program deputy director for the International Crisis Group, told NewsNations that the persecution of whites is not true.

“There is no persecution. The fact of the matter is that South Africa had an apartheid system where people who were white dominated politics, they dominated the economy, and even low-skilled white people, mostly Afrikans, who didn’t have many prospects, could easily get a state job. The situation has now changed completely.”

The white farmers of South Africans are fleeing from the hate, racism and deadly violence of the Black south africans.

A delegation of 30 South African farming families has arrived in Russia’s farmbelt Stavropol Region, Rossiya 1 TV reports. The group says it is facing violent attacks and death threats at home.

Up to 15,000 Boers, descendants of Dutch settlers in South Africa, are planning to move to Russia amid rising violence stemming from government plans to expropriate their land, according to the delegation.

“It’s a matter of life and death – there are attacks on us. It’s got to the point where the politicians are stirring up a wave of violence,” Adi Slebus told the media. “The climate here [Stavropol Region] is temperate, and this land is created by God for farming. All this is very attractive.”
The new South African government, led by President Cyril Ramaphosa, has pledged to return the lands owned by white farmers since the 1600s to the black citizens of the country. The government said it is planning to put an end to what it calls the legacy of apartheid, where most of South Africa’s land is still in the hands of its minority white population.

Rights groups have said the initiative incites violence. There were 74 farm murders and 638 attacks, primarily against white farmers, in 2016-17 in South Africa, according to data by minority rights group AfriForum.

The farmers are prepared to make a contribution to Russia’s booming agricultural sector, according to Rossiya 1. Each family is ready to bring up to $100,000 for leasing the land.

Russia has 43 million hectares of unused farmland, and has recently begun giving out free land to Russian citizens to cultivate farming. The land giveaway program, which began in 2014, has been a huge success.
