I lost respect for McCain when the doctor at the Arizona VA reached out to him about veterans being placed on secret "do not treat" lists because they did not have enough staff and resources to treat the most sick veterans.

Shortly after he reached out to McCain, the doctor was fired.

If it had not been for an obscure Congressman from Florida, the whole scandal would not have even hit the newspapers

I remember reading all kinds of crap about McCain when he ran against Obama back in the day. They called him everything from a racist to a failed Navy man who's own father, being an admiral, could not even help his son advance in the Navy because he was such a failure. So then he decided to go to the only place on earth where failures can get filthy rich, which is the US Congress.

But after McCain came out against Trump, he became a stateman overnight to be revered according to the press.
