Keep the MAGAT rhetoric out of this. This is about a group that, in their misguided self righteousness, thought they could invade a church and disrupt a worship service because their feathers got ruffled over the pastor's secular job.

A church is a spiritual sanctuary, that is its purpose. I'm an atheist so I don't view it as sacred ground myself but I understand that in their eyes, it is and I respect that. Don Lemon and the protestors apparently do not.

They invaded the church for a specific reason; to illustrate what they see as the irreconcilable difference between the pastor's job and his religion (a religion most of the protestors probably don't believe in). Meaning, they conflated the issue to be about religion when it is not. They also conflated it to where the entire congregation is guilty by association and perhaps for sharing the same religion. This is where they royally fucked up and makes their actions so dishonorable.

If some Christian Evangelical came INSIDE my Synogogue and asked me “Why don’t you believe in Jesus,?” he would be in violation of the FACE Act.
