Why would God have a problem with abortion, when God commands the killing of babies in the Bible?

NO real Christian would say the old testament is irrelevant…EVER.
God isn’t the beta male pajama pant wearing barista boy that lefties want to believe he is…He is no push-over, he is a vengeful God.

Mattew 5: 5. Nuff said. Now spin it any way you would like

Uh uh uh. The Bible says speak ill of no man:

Titus 3:2-4

2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

This is after God killed everyone except Noah, his sons and their women-folk ... so He's not a racist ...

The Amaleks were bad people ... deserved to die, every last one of them ... I don't know why, I'm not their Creator ... once again I'm on my knees thnaking the Lord God that He should make me Dutch ...

... and you thought the Jews were getting the worse of God's judgements ...

The entire bible is just sick. If you read it like I have from old testament on through you'd throw it in the fire!

Killing babies is just sad.

As long as its not part of politics. As a christian, i would fight hard against a christian theocracy.

Worse than Church influencing Government is Government influencing Church ...

Like in the United Kingdom ... their moral and religious leader is Charles III ...

Thou shalt not murder.
Murder didn't apply to killing during warfare, or state-sponsored executions, just as it doesn't even in modern nations.

For example:

1 Samuel 15:3

Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.

Read Genesis 19

2 Thessalonians 3:10 states: "For even when we were with you, we gave you this command: Anyone unwilling to work should not eat." This verse emphasizes the importance of work and self-sufficiency, discouraging idleness and dependence on others. It was likely a response to some in the Thessalonian church who had stopped working, believing that Christ's second coming was imminent

He said work or die of starvation.
That has nothing to do w/vengeance.

I'll ask you again, what is God most vengeful of in Scripture?

Man presumes to have the all-encompassing power to judge others that God has. However, in the book of Genesis, man (Adam and Eve) chose to disobey God by partaking in knowledge forbidden to them. Abortion, at least for most Christians, is taking God's power and judgment to create and take life into one's own hands.

God doesn't have any qualms about wiping out an entire world because it descended into depravity; he didn't have qualms about wiping out Sodom and Gomorrah for the same reason.

Furthermore, God gave Canaan 400 years to repent for their sins, but finally, he chose to exact judgment on them.

But then again, your focus on the Old Testament is dishonest, given that God sent his own son to preach mercy and a more non-violent tone to mankind. That's why the New Testament exists.
