Its just a statement of fact I dont know why are so uptight about it. My sympathies are with the retailers. They are paying the cost of societal breakdown.

I would not characterize extreme drug dependency as a societal breakdown, but even if it were, government owning and controlling the means of production is decidedly not the solution. Neither is ignoring the problem and letting the guilty walk.

A person who gets addicted to drugs is likely not going to get help, or even survive, if the addiction gets to the level where they survive by shoplifting or other crime. Almost always, spending a turn in the clink is the only chance they have to get off the shit.

But, I will admit that our corrections system could do MUCH better at getting these people help while the serve their time.

That cannot happen if the entire nation collapses under the extreme weight of a system designed to make us all desparate homeless shoplifters--aka socialism.

Totally unnecessary. As I always like to say, you get what you vote for.

Until these people learn that electing Democrats is just completely stupid, let them live with a weak police force. Let their stores close permanently from riots and shoplifting. Let them keep de-funding their police departments. Let them keep letting violent criminals back out onto the streets to kill more Democrats. Let them keep making policies like Mayor Lighthead in Chicago where police can no longer pursue criminals. Let them keep telling citizens to not use their toaster so they don't cause a rolling blackout due to weak means of producing energy. Let them do all of it.

I don't feel sorry for any Democrat that suffers the consequences of these morons. After all, they were the ones that voted these clowns in. I do feel bad for Republicans and conservatives that are still living in those heavily Democrat controlled areas. Perhaps this will lead a push for conservative migration and move away from that stupidity, and eventually we have our own states and leave the idiocy behind.

There is no reason to wish you could stomp politicians half to death when it's the people who are responsible for what kind of politicians they put there.

Shoplifters raise the price I pay for merchandise. Companies just pass their loses along to the consumer.

Fundamentally dishonest about what? If you truly need help in this country, we have multiple programs to help just about anybody. We can't do much for the homeless that don't want any help at all. Years ago we used to have those people committed. A family member or police officer would bring these people to a judge and the judge would institutionalize them. However this was at the beginning of the liberal movement. At the time, Geraldo had his own news show. He protested this exercise claiming it was unconstitutional to lock people up that committed no crime. Eventually the case made it to a liberal court and the judge agreed with Geraldo. Then we had to open the locks and let them all out.

But outside of the homeless who don't know any better, the rest of us have resources to survive and quite comfortably in most cases.

My cousin lost her 27 year old son due to drugs a few years ago. It had nothing to do with them being illegal. In fact he probably would have died much sooner if they were, especially like you're talking about making them no cost (which means taxpayers foot the bill).

He was hooked since the age of 15. He was kicked out of school, arrested several times, repeatedly sent to rehab by his parents, and nothing could break his habit except death.

In fact anybody I know that had somebody close to them hooked on this stuff never got off. Rehab doesn't work in almost all cases no matter how hard you try. Look at all the famous people who had problems, and even with all their money, could never get anybody to get them off dope.

The only real solution is to have people not start in the first place. This is very difficult to do with an open borders President. Most of our heroin comes from that southern border and opening it up more will only create more addicts and more deaths.

Prescriptions won't work because for one, it makes the doctor liable if somebody does get hurt or kill themselves. Two is because of that, they would have to prescribe such a low amount. Because drug addiction requires more and more to get high as your system becomes immune to it, the druggie would be back out in the streets to buy more than they were prescribed.

There is not all this dope in jail. You watch too many movies about America. I know somebody who was hooked and went to prison for five years. In prison they have a workout room, and he was built like a tank when he was in there. No dope, eating properly, and nothing better to do with his time than body build. He looked fantastic, and certainly nobody in their right mind would mess with.

They thought they were buying Xanax and actually bought fentanyl. The guy jerked his son out of college and put him in trade school. The college was a big believer in legalizing drugs to solve social ills. Buying the kid his own plumbing business will cost less than college.

I have never understood the belief that the legalization of drugs will be beneficial. The harm is just too obvious.
