Garland came out Friday and said they were petitioning the judge to release the warrant. Trump released it on his own without redacting the names of the agents who are now subject to threats from his psychotic followers.

When the judge released the copy from the court, their names were redacted.

So tell me, why are you Nazis melting down that Trump released it, since the Reich was totally - really honest - going to release it anyway?

We aren’t talking about a large pool of people. Someone familiar with the individuals would be able to figure out who is providing information based on the characteristics of what they are able to tell the FBI.

You don't know that, and redactions can fix that. The DOJ filing I linked effectively says that. "We would have to redact so much of it, there would be nothing left."

Even without release of the affidavit, which would be extremely unusual in an ongoing investigation, we know the FBI found what they thought they’d find.

We do not know that either. I am more likely to think that after they review the docs they seized, they will be scrambling to explain why they took what they did, trying to come up with a crime to fit the evidence, rather than the other way around like it is supposed to be.

Looks like it's going to be while, but I bet that we will eventually see a redacted version, and then we can laugh a bit and then get angry when we realize that Biden really did weaponize the DOJ to persecute its political enemies in an attempt to influence upcoming elections.
