In both, if your policies are NOT pursuing AMERICAN interests, then they are putting the interests of foreign citizens ahead of AMERICAN citizens.

No one is expecting MEXICO, to have national policies that benefit AMERICA at the expense of MEXICO.

No one is expecting China to have national trade policies that benefit AMERICA at teh expence of CHINA.

In both cases, they pursue the interests of THEIR citizens, which is right and proper. To the extent that we have policies based on other priorities, such as "benefiting those less fortunate", or ideology, we are allowing those nations to take advantage of us, at the expense of our citizens, many of whom are not that fortunate also.


That is a real political disagreement between us, one that can and should be debated.

Its a divided country much like we are in America
