And here is another thing - snowflake. If we had a flat tax across the board (such as 10%), the wealthy would always pay more. 10% of a million dollars is $100,000. 10% of $100,000 is $10,000. Ergo, a person making a million dollars per year would pay 10x's as much as the person making $100,000. That's why we do taxes by percentages.

But you nitwits want to punish the wealthy - not make them pay their "fair share". So you not only make them pay more by percentage, you also make them pay a higher percentage. A special form of idiocy that could only come from left-wing ideologues. It's like grounding a child for straight A's or beating a dog for following commands. Why would you punish success??? A) none of that wealth could be kept without the protection* of teh state

B) that the free market is not going to provide for all citizens, and that those who have more than they need must give to those that do not for the Republic to not fall apart to the mob.

There is absoultely nothing preventing a society from hanging their elite en masse if they don't take care of their needy. The French Revolution being the best example of that. All the founding fathers worried about was a mob coming to lynch them

I doubt I could be around the stench of the rich, and I have no use in finding out, I'm content with my humble life.
